Tony’s POV
I walked into the HR’s office with Sophia beside me, having my expression already fixed in a stern and unreadable manner. The room grew tense almost immediately. Mr. Allen, the head of HR, stood up quickly from his chair and adjusted his tie immediately. He knew better than to make me repeat myself.
“This is Sophia,” I began flatly, motioning toward her. “Our new chief engineer.”
Mr. Allen blinked twice, trying to hide the surprise that flashed across his face. “Chief engineer?” he repeated, cautiously. “But… sir, that means…”
“That means,” I cut in, “Sophia has replaced Mellisa.”
