Chapter 1 – Just Another Day
The practice room was already loud before nine in the morning.
"Again from the chorus!" Shinyu clapped his hands once. "Everyone, positions."
"Hyung, you're scarier than the manager today," Jihoon laughed.
"I'm always like this."
"No," Kyungmin teased. "Today you're worse."
Dohoon leaned against the mirror with his arms crossed.
"I agree."
Shinyu looked at him.
"You could help instead of watching."
"I'm helping by judging."
Youngjae sighed dramatically.
"Why are my two oldest hyungs like this every morning?"
"They enjoy it," Jihoon answered.
"They definitely do."
Everyone laughed.
---
Music filled the room.
The six members practiced together, correcting mistakes and repeating difficult parts.
"Jihoon, your timing is early."
"Sorry!"
"Kyungmin, one more time."
"Got it."
Youngjae wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"I'm starving already."
"You were starving before practice even started," Dohoon replied.
"That's true..."
Shinyu chuckled.
"Let's finish first."
---
After another run-through, everyone took a short break.
Youngjae immediately sat on the floor.
"I'm dead."
"No, you're just lazy," Jihoon said.
"I'll remember that."
Kyungmin opened a bottle of water.
"Hanjin, do you want one?"
Han Zhen smiled softly.
"Thank you."
"No problem."
He accepted the bottle with a gentle smile that looked warm and innocent.
"You're always so polite," Youngjae said.
Han Zhen laughed quietly.
"My parents raised me well."
"You're seriously the nicest person."
Han Zhen only smiled again.
---
Meanwhile, Dohoon and Shinyu were standing near the speakers, discussing the choreography.
"The ending formation still looks uneven," Shinyu said.
"It's because Jihoon keeps moving half a step."
"I know."
"I'll fix it with him later."
Youngjae walked over.
"Hyungs, should we ask the choreographer to change that part?"
Shinyu nodded.
"Good idea."
Kyungmin joined them.
"And maybe we should adjust the camera angle too."
Dohoon agreed.
"It'll look cleaner."
The four continued talking seriously about the performance.
Han Zhen remained on the other side of the room, quietly drinking water.
No one ignored him on purpose.
It was simply normal.
Shinyu and Dohoon naturally spent more time with Jihoon, Youngjae, and Kyungmin because they had trained together longer and often discussed performances with them.
---
The manager entered.
"Everyone, ten minutes. Then we're filming."
"Yes!"
The members quickly stood up.
Youngjae stretched.
"I hope lunch is good."
"You only think about food," Jihoon laughed.
"Can you blame me?"
Dohoon walked past them.
"If you're hungry, dance better."
"That's not how food works!"
Everyone laughed again.
Even Shinyu smiled.
---
As they walked toward the filming studio, Han Zhen quietly adjusted his microphone.
His gentle smile never disappeared.
To everyone around him, he looked like the sweetest and calmest member of TWS.
No one questioned it.
No one had any reason to.
Not yet.
