Arav didn't just tell Aisha about his friend; he decided to show her. He pulled out his phone and hit the video call button. Aisha instinctively stepped into the shadows, watching from the corner of her eye. "Sonic, pick up the damn phone," Arav muttered. The screen flickered to life, showing Sonic in a messy room. "Arav! You finally called! Are you in jail? Do I need to fly to Japan and bribe a judge?" "I'm at an orphanage, Sonic," Arav said, turning the camera to show the crumbling walls and the broken fans. "Japan is beautiful, but greed is a universal language. Some people here prefer eating the children's futures for breakfast." Sonic's face turned serious instantly. "Is that why you asked for 100k? For the orphanage?" "No, that's for a girl with cancer. For the orphanage... well, I thought you might want some 'Good Karma' so you don't end up in hell for your sins." Sonic laughed, and without a second's hesitation, he tapped his screen. Ding! Arav's phone buzzed. [Transaction Successful: 200,000 Yen Received] "I sent double," Sonic said, leaning back. "One for the kid's surgery, and one to fix those damn fans. If I'm going to hell anyway, I might as well leave a few smiling faces behind me. But wait... you're in engineering, why are you suddenly a social worker?" Arav smiled. "Just trying to save a life, brother." "Whatever. Hey, I gotta go. I'm 'studying' Biology right now," Sonic said, winking as a girl's arm appeared on the screen. "Biology? Since when do you care about cells?" Arav asked, raising an eyebrow. "Important research, Arav! Don't ruin the vibe! Call me if you need another million!" Sonic hung up. Behind the camera, Sonic's "Biology partner" scoffed. "Why did you give that greedy guy 200k? He's clearly using you." Sonic's expression turned lethal. He threw a stack of cash on the bed and pointed at the door. "Get out. You don't get to judge my brother. Arav would take a bullet for me, and I'd burn a city for him. You're just a guest for the night. He's my family. Now, leave before I stop being a gentleman." THE REALITY OF STRENGTH Back at the orphanage, Arav handed the digital receipt to the Principal. "Two hundred thousand. One for the surgery, one for the repairs. Please, use it well." The Principal's hands shook. "This is... this is too much, son." "It's just paper," Arav said simply. "A child's life isn't." Aisha stepped forward. "I've already alerted the authorities. The police will handle the legal side." Arav turned to her, his gaze piercing. "I hope so. Because if your 'mentality' is still about just watching and judging, you aren't fit to even stand in this place." He walked back to the children. They swarmed him, shouting "Uncle! Uncle!" as he played tag with them in the dirt. Aisha watched him, and for the first time, she didn't see a "target" for a bet. She saw a man who was truly free. "Look at them, Aisha," Arav said, gesturing to the laughing kids. "This is struggle. They don't have enough food, they don't have blankets for the winter, and some don't even have shoes. But they are happy. They cherish the moment. Meanwhile, you... you have a five-star life and you want to throw it away because of a little 'social pressure'?" Aisha felt a lump in her throat. "I... I didn't know." "Now you do," Arav said softly. He reached out and touched her shoulder. "Don't just 'step back' from life. Make a comeback so big the world has to look up to see you." Aisha looked at him and smiled—a real, genuine smile that reached her eyes. "You're right. I think I'm done with the 'suicide' plans." Arav laughed. "Good. Then today was a success. I saved two lives: the little princess in there, and you." THE SHADOWS EMERGE As they drove back to the hotel, the sun setting behind the Tokyo skyline, Aisha's phone buzzed. It was her manager. "Ma'am... we found them. The ones stealing the orphanage funds." Aisha's eyes turned into shards of ice. "Who?" "The Co-Manager and the Deputy Manager of the Charity Wing. They've been diverting the donations into private offshore accounts for eighteen months. They thought you were too busy with the 'Shadow Reality' show to notice." Aisha gripped her phone until her knuckles turned white. "They used my name to starve children? They used my father's money to buy villas while those kids slept without fans?" "What are your orders, Ma'am?" "Don't call the police yet," Aisha whispered, her voice trembling with a dark, regal fury. "I want to handle this myself. I want them to see my face when I strip them of everything they own. I am a Khurana... and they are about to learn what happens when you betray the Queen." She looked at Arav, who was staring out the window, unaware of the storm she was about to unleash. You saved me today, Arav, she thought. Tomorrow, I'll show you why I'm the one who runs this Empire.
