CHAPTER 16: THE QUEEN’S WRATH AND THE DIAMOND’S FACE

629 Words
In the cold, sterile interrogation room of the Tokyo Police Department, the air was thick with fear. Behind the glass, Aisha Khurana stood with her arms crossed, her eyes like daggers. "So," she whispered to her manager. "The Editor-in-Chief. He was the one my ex-boyfriend recommended before I kicked him out? He's been bleeding the charity funds dry this whole time?" "Yes, Ma'am. He thought you were too distracted by your 'runaway trip' to notice. Your family broke one of his hands after the breakup, and he's been hiding his corruption under the radar ever since." Aisha didn't wait. She stepped into the cell. The Editor-in-Chief, a man who once acted like a saint, was now begging on his knees. "Aisha! Please! My nephew... he was your boyfriend! You loved him! Have mercy!" "Your nephew betrayed me, and you betrayed the children," Aisha said, her voice dropping to a deadly octave. "Every yen you stole from that orphanage will be recovered. Every villa, every luxury watch—everything. And then, I will make sure you stay in this cage for sixty years. I don't care about the legal fees. I'll buy the prison if I have to." "Fifty years?! For a few donations?!" the man screamed. "For the life of a little girl you almost killed," Aisha hissed. She turned to the police. "Increase the sentence. Charge him with corporate sabotage and attempted manslaughter. If he breathes free air before he's ninety, I'll fire the entire legal team." She walked back to her company, calling an emergency meeting. Standing before hundreds of employees, she announced: "Corruption stops today. If you steal a cent from the public or the children we protect, you won't just lose your job—you'll lose your freedom. I've already destroyed the Editor-in-Chief. Don't be next." The office was silent. The 'Ice Queen' had truly returned. THE LIFT: A DIFFERENT KIND OF HEAT The sun set, and the "Shadow Reality" stream roared back to life. The audience was in an uproar. Chat: SHE REVEALED HER FACE! Japan_Fan: She's a goddess! Why is she living in a hotel? She should be on every billboard in Tokyo! Arav_Warrior: Our boy Arav is in trouble. How can he focus with a Diamond of Japan standing next to him? Arav stepped into the lift, exhausted from a day of tech management. He blinked, seeing Aisha. She wasn't wearing a mask. No heavy makeup. Just her natural, breathtaking beauty. "Wow," Arav said, leaning against the lift wall. "No alcohol today? No short dresses? You look... normal." Aisha smirked. "I don't need makeup to be beautiful, Arav. It's natural." "True," Arav admitted. "Actually, you look better like this. A woman's beauty is in her eyes, not the paint she puts on them." Aisha's heart did a somersault. "So... we're friends now?" "We're friends," Arav said, handing her his phone. "Save your number. Put it under 'Unknown Friend'." "Still won't tell me your name?" "When the time is right, you'll know. For now, let's just survive the week." As the lift climbed, Arav noticed Aisha watching him closely. He wiped his brow. "Is it hot in here? I'm sweating." Aisha reached out, her fingers grazing his cheek to wipe a stray bead of sweat. "It's not that hot, Arav. Maybe you're just nervous being around such a beautiful girl?" Arav looked at her, a playful glint in his eyes. "So you've admitted it? You're beautiful?" "I'm the Diamond of Japan," she teased, using the words she saw in the chat earlier. Arav laughed. "Well, Diamond, I'm glad you're not 'Gay' as you thought I was. I just have high standards. But you... you're starting to meet them." Aisha blushed furiously. The "Ice Queen" of the boardroom was melting in a six-square-foot elevator.
