At breakfast the next day, everyone was a little tense.
On the one hand, a few days and we will arrive in my city, on the other hand, it was only a matter of time before the men of the royal fleet found us again and attacked us with greater forces, and on the third part, everyone was worried about the gathering clouds that would turn into a storm.
James: What are your plans when you get home?
Jessica: I guess I'll continue my boring life, now that I have nothing to worry about anymore.
I looked gratefully at Shawn.
Shawn: If we dock in your city sometimes, you can always invite me for a meat pie.
We both laughed out loud.
I will miss them so much. Dwayn who is so cool and hot, Shawn who is so caring, and strong and James who is so sophisticated and charming.
But I have my boyfriend there. Is he still waiting for me?
Or will I be completely alone in the city when I arrive? Will I ever see them again?
During that short time, I could at least feel like I finally had a family.
I was interrupted from my thoughts by the captain's order to go and prepare for the storm.
During my time here, I learned quite a lot from the boys.
I carried off the deck everything that can't get wet, James willingly helped.
James: Carrying these heavy things is not a lady's occupation.
He lifted the crate with his good hand.
Jessica: Let me help you, you can't use your arm yet!
And together we carried the heavy box down the stairs.
I tripped at the bottom of the stairs and he caught me with his injured hand while he held the crate with the other.
James: Careful Beautyheart!
My heart was pounding in my throat to have him so close to me.
Then I remembered that he was holding me with his injured arm, and I quickly regained my balance.
Jessica: That must have hurt.
James: Come on, I could take any pain for you.
He was always confusing me with his words, so I decided to go up on the deck to help Shawn who was tightening the ropes.
Jessica: Can I help you?
Shawn looked at me with a smile.
Shawn: Of course my little pirate, this side is ready, start pulling the ropes on the other side.
I was making good progress when one of the knots didn't give way.
Shawn: I'm here
He stood behind me and we pulled the rope together.
As I felt his body on my back, all my strength ran out, so he probably pulled it on his own.
And he was done with it a long time ago when he was still standing behind me.
I slowly turned to face him in his embrace and noticed that his eyes scanned my lips, I looked deep into his eyes and closed my eyes. I felt his breath on my face
When suddenly we heard the captain's voice:
James: Shawn, quick to the wheel!
Shawn gave me another smile before hurrying to the steering wheel.
The storm arrived in the evening.
I could barely go down the stairs to my room, the storm was tossing the ship so hard.
The others didn't seem particularly excited, the captain also retired to his room, only a few of the crew members stayed up.
I guess they've had to deal with a bigger storm.
I, on the other hand, was quite afraid.
As I wobbled down the hall, I met Shawn, who smiled at my unsteady steps
Shawn: I'll walk you to your room.
Then wrapped his arms around me.
At the door of my room, accompanied by another beautiful smile, he wished good night and I felt that I did not want to spend the night without him.
Jessica: Shawn, wo… wouldn’t you stay with me? I am really afraid.
Shawn: Jessica…You keep teasing me to earning the captain's attention. It's not nice to play with other people's feelings.
Jessica: What are you talikg about Shawn?
(Am I really want the captain’s attention?)
(And does Shawn have feelings for me?)
Shawn: About breakfast, about your every touch. What do you want from me?
Jessica: All right. I admit that at the beginning I wanted to get close to you to help me.
Jessica: But I'm already on my way home and I still invite you to my room.
Jessica: Just because I wanna be with you, Shawn.
Shawn: All right!
We went into my room and we sat in silence for a while.
Jessica: You know, I think a nice massage would relax me enough to sleep.
He was surprised at my request, but finally smiled and nodded.
I lay on the bed on my stomach and he sat next to me.
He touched my shoulder for a moment and then pulled his hand away… and I waited and waited but nothing happened.
Then I turned around and I saw sadness on his face.
Jessica: What's wrong?
Shawn: I don't think it would be right for me to touch you with such rough pirate hands.
I took his hands, pulled him close to me and placed his hands on my chest.
Then he very tenderly and gently began to smooth his hands over my chest, while watching my face, wondering how it might feel to me.
Jessica: This is the most delicate touch I've ever felt.
As I was lying in bed, he suddenly sat on my thighs.
He caressed my face with his hands and looked down at me longingly.
And then suddenly he kissed me.
There was passion in it, but more tenderness. I almost melted from his kiss.
Then suddenly he stopped and pulled away from me.
Shawn: I'm sorry. It shouldn't have happened …. it won't happen again, I promise.
Jessica: Are you sure?
Then I leaned over and this time I kissed him.
This was pure passion, and it didn't even end as he laid me back on the bed, his lips sliding lower and lower down my neck, over my shoulders and onto my chest.
I opened my eyes for a moment to see if he was bothered by my tattoo, which no one had seen in its entirety yet, but he didn't seem to care.
His hands explored my body, I felt that I would die without his kiss, when…
We heard the captain's shout.
Dwayn: Shawn, James on board!
For the rest of the night, everyone worked on board and I tried to rest.
At breakfast, everyone was tired and talking about the night's damage.
James: We absolutely have to replace the mast. We can try to fix it, but in Gannetsport we have to replace it.
Shawn: I'm really not in a hurry to return to the city, the later the better.
He gave me a suspicious look and I blushed.
But I didn't see the captain anywhere.
After breakfast, I went on board, where the people had already started working on cleaning up the damage.
I looked everywhere, but I didn't see Dwayn.
I hope he didn't get hurt in the storm. Maybe he's just resting in his room.
I started towards the captain's room.
Since no one answered my knock, I opened the door.
I found Dwayn lying in bed, sick, barely conscious.
Jessica: James! Shawn! Someone help me!
I shouted as I knelt next to Dwayn and held his head in my hands.
James and Shawn soon got there.
Jessica: The captain is very sick. James get water and a rag, Shawn, you bring my bag from my room!
The captain was shaking all over when I tried to wrap him in the cold water rags with the help of the boys.
Jessica: He might have a high fever. I hope it's not dysentery or some serious illness, he just caught a cold in the storm.
I took out the medicine from my bag and put some drops in a spoon and took his head in my lap and raised him a little so that he could drink.
Jessica: It's very important to drink Dwayn, because you're going to dry out!
My voice was shaky, worried, tears running down my face when I saw that he wasn't responding.
I stayed in his room all day, changed his wet clothes, gave him medicine, stroked his head, wiped his face.
Sometimes one of the boys looked in
Shawn: No change?
But I just shook my head.
As evening approached, I sat next to him and put his head on my lap so that he would sleep while I stroked him, because he was tormented by nightmares and misspoken.
Dwayn: The treasure! I will get it! You damn parrot! No, I won't let you go, Ratty.
I was surprised when I heard my name and wondered what he might have dreamed.
Little by little, sleep overwhelmed me as I held his head.
I woke up at dawn when he spoke.
Dwayn: No, there is no such thing as I went to Heaven.
He looked at me when he regained consciousness.
Tears began to fall from my eyes, but I tried to smile.
Jessica: My Captain! Dwayn!
I kissed his cheek.
Jessica: I was so worried!
Dwayn: Death doesn't even need me, don't worry.
Jessica: Someone needs you.
I got off the bed to pour him some water.
Dwayn: You were here… all along..by my side?
I nodded without saying a word.
Jessica: Not just me, Shawn and James too.
Dwayn: Where do we get medicine?
He looked in the direction of the table
Jessica: I stole it from my foster father.
Dwayn smiled.
Dwayn: You've become a real pirate Jessica.
I was surprised to hear my real name and I was proud that he praised me.
Dwayn soon fell into another sleep and didn't wake up until morning.
In the morning, the others also came to his room and we waited together for him to wake up.
Dwayn: There are more of you as many as will be at my funeral.
James: Everyone was worried about you Captain!
Shawn: The mast was damaged in the storm, we need to replace it.
Shawn: I decided while you were sick that we would stop at the nearest port if you agreed.
Dwayn nodded.
Dwayn: I'm proud of you all. I've never had such a loyal crew. Of course, you were always here, Shawn, like a hump on my back.
Smiled the captain and then Shawn too.
Dwayn: Okay, go, I'm not used to this kind of attention.
Dwayn: The pretty girl can stay, a little breakfast would be nice.
Everyone left the room relieved.
I brought him breakfast and fed him. Although I'm not sure if he really is still so weak that he wouldn't be able to do it on his own, or if he was just enjoying the situation.
Maybe I should ask him about his dream.
As I raised the spoon to his mouth, I gathered all my courage to ask:.
Jessica: Ehh... you spoke in your dream. Something about a treasure and the parrot.
Dwayn looked at me alarmed, he didn't know what he had already told me in his dream.
Jessica: That parrot isn't yours, is it?
Dwayn lowered his head and shook it.
Dwayn: No, not mine. It was the bird of a pirate captain who escaped when the captain was killed.
Dwayn: The parrot knows about the captain's famous treasure, which I've been hunting for some time.
Dwayn: It's called the parrot's treasure because he guarded the captain's treasures while he was still alive.
I was so happy that he trusted me and told me the truth.
Dwayn: Did I say anything else in my dream?
I was immediately embarrassed
Jessica: No. Just…a little …. about me.
The captain grabbed my hand and pulled me to him in terror.
Dwayn: What?
Jessica: Well,…. that,…you won't let me go…somewhere.
Dwayn: Oh, I remember. You weren't the one I said that to.
He finished his breakfast in silence and I got up to take the plate away.
I turned back and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips, then started to smile as I headed for the door.
Dwayn: What is it?
Jessica: It was me you told to. You don't call anyone else Ratty, you lying pirate!
And I left the room.
