No More Secrets

Siena thought the office whispers had died down after the conference. She was wrong. The morning after she and Liam spent their first night together, she arrived at work still glowing, her hair soft around her face, lips tingling from his lingering kisses. She tried to walk with composure, but Emma caught her the second she stepped through the door. “Spill,” Emma demanded, tugging her into the break room. “Don’t you dare try to tell me nothing happened after that dinner last night. You’re practically floating.” Siena groaned. “Emma, please—” “Oh, don’t even,” Emma cut her off, eyes sparkling. “Did he finally drop the whole broody, dominant CEO act, or did he keep it going?” Siena’s face burned. “Both,” she admitted softly, which made Emma squeal so loudly Siena had to shush her. Before Siena could escape further interrogation, Liam’s voice carried down the hall, rich and commanding as ever. “Siena? With me.” The way he said her name—like it belonged to him—made every nerve in her body tighten. Emma gave her a push toward the door. “Go get your man, boss lady.” --- The day blurred, meetings blending together until late afternoon when Liam approached her desk. He leaned down, speaking low so only she could hear. “Get ready. Tonight, we’re making this official.” Her brows rose. “Official?” He only smiled. “You’ll see.” --- That evening, Siena found herself standing outside the glittering hotel ballroom where the city’s biggest corporate gala was underway. She smoothed her dress nervously, the midnight silk hugging her curves, before Liam appeared at her side. “You’re breathtaking,” he murmured, his hand settling confidently at her lower back. She glanced around at the crowd of cameras and colleagues. “Liam, are you sure about this? Everyone will—” “That’s the point,” he interrupted gently, turning her face toward his. “No more hiding.” With that, he laced their fingers together and led her inside. Heads turned instantly. Conversations faltered. Siena’s pulse hammered as flashbulbs lit the air, but Liam walked as if nothing else existed—steady, unshakable, his hand warm around hers. When the host called him to the stage for his keynote, Siena moved to step aside, but Liam caught her wrist. “Stay,” he whispered, guiding her up with him. A murmur rippled through the crowd as she stood at his side under the golden lights. Liam delivered his speech flawlessly, confidence radiating from every word, but his hand never left hers. And then, at the end, he turned—not to the audience, but to her. “To the woman who challenges me, grounds me, and makes me want more than success,” he said, his voice carrying across the room, “Siena Marlowe—you are the best decision I ever made.” Before Siena could react, his lips claimed hers. It wasn’t a cautious kiss this time—it was bold, passionate, a declaration in front of hundreds. Gasps and applause echoed, but Siena didn’t care. She leaned into him, deepening the kiss, showing everyone watching that this wasn’t just Liam’s choice. It was hers too. When they finally broke apart, Siena’s cheeks flushed, but her eyes shone with certainty. She wasn’t just his secret anymore. She was his partner. Emma, watching from the crowd, clapped wildly, whispering, “Finally,” loud enough for several people to hear. --- The night stretched into a blur of congratulations and curious questions, but Liam never let her go. His hand stayed on her back, his gaze found hers in every moment, and by the time the gala ended, Siena realized something with startling clarity: she wasn’t afraid anymore. She was his. And now, everyone knew it.
