Buck was trotting along into town, I turned buck down off the road and into the ditch. “Easy boy, we are in unfamiliar territory here.” I pulled my hood up over my head.
He neighed in response and kept on going into the woods. I followed a path through the woods until I heard a deep rough voice. “Stop right there! State your business.”
I pulled back on the reins slightly and Buck slowed to a stop. “I need to speak to the alpha.” I said loud and calmly.
After a minute he responded, “The alpha will be here shortly. He wants to know who wishes to meet with him.”
I readjusted myself on Buck and sighed. “Tell him it’s someone who wants the same thing he does. The protection of a certain wolf.”
