Chapter 54
At 15:00 in a neighborhood in each of five designated cities (New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, and Denver), SWAT teams led by a former Navy SEAL surround and break through exterior doors. The surprise raids result in a roundup of eleven women and seventeen men. Three subversives suffered gunshot wounds, four sustained broken limbs, and others received minor injuries.
O’Neil calls Margaret, “Madam President, the sweeps were successful. In addition to twenty-eight arrests, most non-U.S.-citizens, we now have damning evidence against China. Given the number of toxins we retrieved, their intention was to destroy the United States.”
