Nathan breathed a sigh of relief.
“How the hell did he get on my land?”
“He accompanied Gier as part of his staff. They are definitely more closely connected than we thought.”
“f**k. Just how close are they?”
“That’s what I’m looking into right now. I was planning to anyway because Perry suggested it.”
“Perry?”
“Yeah, the guy gave him bad vibes.”
“Of course he did.”
Nathan grimaced at Alexander’s dismissive tone. Peregrin was rather famous for going with his gut rather than research. Sometimes it caused problems, but often it led him to the correct path. Though it was often exhausting for them to keep pace, they had all come to accept it as his usual mode of operation.
