The bell signalling the end of classes for the day went off and students trooped out of their respective classes, cheering and smiling. Happy that classes have come to an end for the day as they can now carry on with whatever they have planned for themselves. Veronica wasn't an exception. She picked up her bag from the floor and turned off the water she had running in the wash tub. She smiled, put on her backpack and slowly opened the bathroom door, peeking out to confirm that students were already crowding the hallway before she came out and joined them. “You skipped last period, didn't you?"
