2 My Sister is Dead?

After joining the Frederic Special Units Center, Lionel stood out in each of the missions assigned, doing honor to the legacy of his family, for which, at the age of 18 he was appointed as Captain of the Special Operations Unit of the Third Republic of Frederic. Years later, Elizabeth Wilson, who spent her entire life with the King family, also entered the Unit. Lionel always brotherly loves her and takes her as his sister, although they are not by blood.

During a normal working day, Elizabeth was designated to go on a mission in the neighboring country of Lucien, therefore, she was going to say goodbye to Lionel since she would leave the next day.

“Lionel, I must leave Lucien tomorrow, Amber has just appointed me that mission.”

“How long will the mission last?” asked Lionel uneasily.

“I estimate that a couple of weeks, all the intelligence is done.”

“And who is the target?” Lionel asked dryly.

“Black...” However, before Elizabeth gave him details, Amber broke in.

“Poison Dart Frog, go! You must meet with the team to finalize the details of your mission!” Amber said scoldingly.

“Yes commander!” Elizabeth replied who started immediately.

“See you later sister, I hope to see you soon finish them!” Lionel expressed to her, then took the opportunity to stay alone with Amber for a while.

“You´re very sensual Commander Lopez.” Lionel expressed to Amber

“You know I'm dying to kiss you, but I can't do it here.” Amber replied.

Amber had been Lionel's instructor when he entered Frederic's Special Operations Unit, she was a woman of strong character which made her worthy of admiration from her peers as she wasn’t afraid of anything, this characteristic caught Lionel's attention when he met her, in addition to the fact that she was a woman five years older than him, with implacable beauty, therefore, it didn’t take him long to conquer her. Both were an enviable couple because they were passionate about action and danger.

“Are you going on that mission with Elizabeth?” Lionel asked Amber.

“No, I’ll be monitoring intelligence from here, I’ll communicate with the team through small microphones that they will have hidden.”

“I understand luck with the mission” Lionel said goodbye because he had to continue with his work.

After four weeks had elapsed, Elizabeth hadn’t returned from her mission, which greatly disturbed Lionel, since his sister didn’t usually take longer than expected in her operations, therefore he decided to speak with Amber so that she could give him details of the status of the mission.

“My dear commander, can we talk for a moment?” Lionel said to Amber.

“Of course Cheetah. Let's go for a drink. My treat.” answered Amber.

Once at the site where they were drinking, Lionel went straight ahead and asked Amber about the mission to which Elizabeth had been sent.

“What do you know about Elizabeth? That mission was supposed to be for two weeks, four weeks have passed and they still haven't returned.”

Amber immediately looked elsewhere, this situation alerted Lionel who again asked the question, but more aggressively.

“I didn’t want to get to this point Lionel, it is difficult for me to give you this news.”

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?” Lionel shouted.

“Take it easy! It’s complicated...” Amber said with a tone of concern.

“Please TELL ME!” Lionel replied screaming even louder because of the despair that he didn’t know about Elizabeth.

“ Well...” Amber expressed resigned, recalling what she heard from Elizabeth in the phone that day...

‘Oh no dear, I didn’t betray my team. How can you talk about betray if a person has never been loyal? The whole is mission is a part of the plan. Goodbye Amber, it was a pleasure that you fell into the trap.’

“The same day that Elizabeth and the assault team arrived at Lucien, they were attacked untimely by the enemy, I lost all contact with them instantly I could only hear some shots,” Amber related, “After a few days we tried to locate them through our satellites, but it was impossible, the signal was damaged, so far none of our men or Elizabeth have been found, I had to leave them all missing.

Lionel was amazed at the details Amber had just given him, which further infuriated him.

“ WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU TELL ME BEFORE? " Lionel shouted furiously, which felt like an offense.

“ THAT WASN'T YOUR MISSION!”  Amber yelled at him too, “Accept it! SHE’S DEAD!”

“ GO TO HELL AMBER, YOU HAVEN’T STRUGGLE ENOUGH TO FIND HER! ”

“We have done everything possible to find her...” Amber answered, lowering her tone and reflecting on how she had gone a bit too far.

“It seems that you didn’t care about Elizabeth at all. I think we shouldn’t be together anymore.” Lionel said before leaving.

After such devastating news, Lionel decided to investigate on his own and seek help, however, Frederic's Special Operations Unit refused to give him more information about the case since it was already closed. Tremendously disappointed, Lionel only knew that they had never seen any traces of Elizabeth at the mission site, so he decided to go find answers himself, he no longer cared about serving a group that didn’t care about finding his men.

“Then will you defect? ”Asked Beau Sanchez who was his best friend in the Unit.

“There’s no other alternative, the forces won’t support me, so I’ll do it alone.”

He responded with his usual insolence, typical of his attitudes against the rules.

“Does your family know?” Beau asked him, assuming the answer and knowing the expectations that Lionel's family had in him.

“I haven't told them, barely yesterday I mentioned that Elizabeth was probably alive and they got mad, telling me to close that chapter all at once, so I didn't tell them.”

“Won't they believe something happened to you, knowing you won't be back?”

“I don't care, you decide if you tell them” Pausing briefly and after a long sigh asked Beau “Did you get the guy’s cell phone number?” referring to a man they had known nights ago in a bar and that Lionel needed to help him with his purpose.
