THE MEETING

"Cheetah friend, how have you been with your new soldiers?". Beau Sanchez asked Lionel.

"It was difficult to break them, there were a few rebels who wanted to assassinate me, but I managed so that they couldn't do it with me". Lionel explained to Beau.

"What did you do to them?". Beau asked who hadn’t talked to Lionel for a long time as he had been assigned several missions in the last month.

"I killed them". Lionel said forcefully.

"Cheetah, you shouldn't do, at least not so often, they could discover your false identity". Beau said alarmed by what Lionel had just told him.

"Don't worry Beau, the only ones who could try to find out my true identity are these gang members, but I already have them under my command".

"And what about the girl who lives with you? The one that is involved with LICB”.

"I haven’t seen her try anything against me, at this very moment I’m reviewing some documents that contain information about the settlers, but I haven’t found anything about her yet". Said Lionel.

"You've been investigating her for a long time, she has even forced you to do things that I never thought you would do like being the leader of the gang members". Said Beau, surprised by Lionel's attitude in recent times.

"Don't worry Beau, I know what I'm doing. With the help of these gang members I can find out many things, I haven’t yet forgotten that my main objective is to find Elizabeth alive.

Don’t think that I don’t feel powerless to see how time progresses and I have no answers”. Said Lionel with some sadness.

"Lionel, you have done a lot to find your sister, I’m sure that the answers of his whereabouts are getting closer".

"I want to think so Beau, I can't get to Elizabeth when it's too late". Said Lionel sadly.

"Cheetah I think it's time for me to ask for my vacation. You need me there”. Beau said, informing Lionel that he would visit him.

"No Beau, you don't have to do that. I assure you that I have everything under control, the only thing I want to do is bother you with my nonsense”. Said Lionel, trying to convince Beau not to visit him, although deep down he knew he needed a close friend, someone to trust because he was really alone in that town.

“Lionel, I don't do this out of obligation. I know that you need support there to help you clarify your plans and give you some suggestions”.

"I don't know Beau; you would have to be very discreet so that nobody suspects your movements". Was Lionel's excuse.

“Cheetah, that's why I’ll go during my vacations, nobody can interfere in that; I choose what to do on my vacation and where to go”. Beau explained forcefully.

“Okay Beau, come visit me. I need someone to hit for fun”. Said Lionel laughing, he was happy that Beau accompanied him some days.

"I've already trained, it won't be so easy to hit me". Beau said jokingly.

Beau took three days to get to town, trying not to raise much suspicion to avoid giving explanations.

"Beau, what a pleasure it’s to see you". Lionel said effusively when he received his friend.

"Cheetah, I don't recognize you anymore, you look like a local". Said Beau laughing.

"Don't be silly, you know I don't like that kind of joke". Lionel said ironically.

Lionel indicated to his friend that he couldn’t stay in the villa with him since Mary was there, so he would have to rent a room in a hotel while they found a good place for Beau's stay. To do this, Lionel ordered some gang members to find the best hotel in town and take his partner's luggage there, meanwhile, Lionel would show Beau some details of the gang and the documentation he had obtained after liquidating the chief.

"So, you did all that alone?" Beau asked in amazement at everything Lionel had done to accomplish his mission. "The tortures?".

"Yes, I did it alone".

"The bar too?".

"Yes, with that I did have fun".

"I didn't know you were such a good businessman”. Said Beau laughing.

"You would have loved that place".

"I can't relate to that kind of fun activity". Said Beau, surprised to hear Lionel's success with his bar, as it would have been a front to beat the gangsters.

"Here I’ve discovered that I can do things that I never imagined". Reflected Lionel.

"Do you plan to leave the organization forever or will you remain in command of these gang members?". Beau asked uneasily as to whether Lionel would completely defect from the Special Operations Unit.

“I don't know Beau, the organization didn’t want to support me, nor did my family. At least here I have the support of those gang members, even if partially against their will”.

"Don't say that friend, here you don't know anyone, you only live under a false identity, it would be unbearable for you to live like this forever".

"When I find Elizabeth, maybe she'll agree to stay with me here".

“Cheetah if you find Elizabeth the Republic of Frederic must give you a public apology for not supporting you. You have to come back triumphant”. Beau said cheering Lionel on.

"For this, I must first find Elizabeth, I cannot waste a second".

"I assure you we will find her, I’m here to help you".

Lionel related to Beau in detail everything he had to do to assassinate the gang leader, likewise, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the payment of the cooperation that the gang managed without rendering a real service to the owners of all village establishments, therefore, his intention was to correct that small flaw as he considered it very arbitrary to impose those costs. On the other hand, he also related the way they almost killed him in an attempt to overthrow him, in front of all this, Beau listened intently trying to take details to help Lionel.

"Does Cheetah seem like you have enough work here?".

"Yes Beau, if I want to have adequate information for my purposes, I must first put everything in order". Said Lionel commenting on his strategy.

"I agree with you. Besides, you have always characterized yourself as being a great leader. That is why I wouldn’t like you to withdraw from the organization. Frederic needs soldiers like you who give their all to achieve the goals he sets out; it wasn’t for nothing that you were named the captain of the Special Operations Unit when you were so young".

“I’m very grateful for the words you say to me, Beau, I didn’t want to say it, but I really need someone to trust here, in some way I feel very lonely, and with your arrival, I feel a little calmer. You will surely be able to help me analyze if my plans are good”. Said Lionel, trying to thank his friend for the company.

"Lionel, I’ll stay here as long as necessary, no matter if my holidays are over, the Unit owes me some additional days, I can use them to be here with you". Said Beau, accepting the proposal that his friend had just made to him.

"I’m very pleased Beau, I appreciate your unconditionality".

With Beau in town, Lionel could delegate some tasks to his friend and he could take care of others in order to better optimize time and thus obtain information from Mary, once he got it, he would think about what to do with her.
