Deciding her fate

Man-si rushed to the Empress Dowager doormat, there he bowed and informed her like she had instructed that all the audience have arrived.

Si-me, Empress Dowager personal maid opened the door and she stepped out and begin to walk towards the grand hall.

"Her Highness, Empress Mother is arriving!" , Hanbon speaker spoke out loud and all the people bowed and begin to say their greetings as Empress mother makes her way to her throne.

"Do Min-Joon." Empress Dowager called immediately she's seated and Do Min-Joon begin to read the reason for the gathering out loud, when he was done, he bowed and took his seat.

Murmurs, whispers are being heard as some people began voicing their opinions. The Empress began to speak again which made the people in the hall to quiet down. "Do Min-Joon, what's your opinion on this?" She asked the Minister of Finance who stood up, bowed and began voicing his opinion.

"Your Highness, it's true I went on the trip with him but I didn't pay much attention to his relationship with the black woman. Although it later became serious when she got pregnant, it didn't come to my mind that it will become this serious."

"Hae-Jin, Empress Dowager asked for your opinion and not what you're saying, if you don't have any opinion consigning the matter then sit down!. Elder Yoo Sung-rok yelled angrily and the Empress asked him if he has any suggestion and if he does, he should stand and speak.

Elder Yoo Sung-rok stood and begin to voice out his suggestion. "It's obvious the mother doesn't want the child, because if she does, she wouldn't have traveled such a long distance to drop her off at the palace. Maybe her plan was to return her to her father and when she learned of his death, she decided to keep her where she knows they won't roost her.

The girl is one of us, our child so let's take care of her." Elder Yoo Sung-rok finished and bowed before sitting down.

Empress Dowager asked if anyone else has an opinion but the hall remained silent so she stood up and said out loud what she has concluded about the situation.

"Song Chan-sung is a hero who shall be remembered by all for he died for the betterment of our country and the future. He has no mother, no father, siblings nor wife, just a daughter who's in need of a family.

And just like that, Kleila fate was decided. Some of the elders are in disagreement with Empress Dowager judgment and argued about it with others who supported her as they make their way out of the palace and to their various home.
