“Bariel. What are you doing?” Aliendra’s voice was barely a whisper as she felt a soft kiss on her thin lips. It felt good and very comforting.
“Aren’t we allowed to do something like this? Aren’t we already husband and wife? It’s a husband and wife’s duty to do that, isn’t it? Don’t worry, Aliendra. I can do it. It’s only my legs that are disabled, not my ability to give you pleasure. I can satisfy you over and over again.”
Aliendra held her breath, which was almost gasping. The girl’s face flushed instantly upon hearing Bariel’s words, which sounded so vulgar. Now his face was pressed tightly against her cheek, making her heart race uncontrollably. It was beating so strongly and rapidly. Aliendra was sure Bariel could hear every thud of her heart.
“Y-yes, but. N-not here either, Bariel.”
“I’ll take you to the room upstairs. We’ll do it. Don’t you want a child from me?”
Quickly, Bariel pushed his wheelchair toward the elevator door. Meanwhile, Aliendra was still in the man’s lap. Bariel kissed—even devoured—those lips once they were inside the elevator. Seizing the moment, Bariel cradled Aliendra’s head, pressing his lips deeper into the girl’s soft ones.
A moan that stirred Bariel’s senses could be heard. It turned out Aliendra was indeed a very wild girl. After a few seconds of kissing, Aliendra returned it fiercely, leaving Bariel completely unable to control himself anymore.
They fell onto the bed. Bariel was beneath Aliendra’s body, which was now very active, making movements that drove Bariel wild. The man unconsciously moved his legs. He pinned Aliendra’s body down and fulfilled his role as a man.
“Bariel.”
When his name was called in that playful, breathy tone, Bariel’s world soared. He felt that in that moment, he wanted to live longer, savoring every touch he gave to the beautiful young girl who had become his wife.
“Darling. Again. Keep going,” he whispered as he felt the pleasure was about to overwhelm him.
Aliendra continued to move her body on top of Bariel, delivering strong thrusts that made the man close his eyes and tilt his head back, savoring every intense sensation created by his wife.
But as the movements grew faster and more intense—especially as he heard Aliendra’s moans and screams—Bariel could no longer control himself. He flipped Aliendra’s body over without realizing it, positioning himself on top of her. He thrust harder and lost control even more fiercely, until a long scream echoed from the couple. Bariel’s body collapsed instantly to the side after tensing for a few moments. The man closed his eyes and regulated his breathing so it wouldn’t come in gasps.
The fluid he had just released spilled abundantly onto the walls of Aliendra’s womb. The man seemed deeply satisfied and happy.
“Aliendra, you’re so incredibly pleasurable,” he whispered softly. He felt the touch of those tiny fingers on his bare chest. Bariel clasped those small fingers and then kissed them. Feeling just how happy he was at that moment. Feeling just like any other normal man who was indeed meant to experience that pleasure.
“We’ll do it again later, sweetheart,” Aliendra whispered with her eyes closed. Exhaustion seemed to be overwhelming her.
Bariel turned his head and shifted his body. He saw that she had fallen asleep from sheer exhaustion.
“Thank you, Aliendra. You’ve made my short life so meaningful. I’ve been able to enjoy it and feel like any other normal person.”
Bariel’s hand gently stroked her smooth cheek. He admired how beautiful the young woman—who had become his wife—truly was. The girl he had longed for so deeply decades ago. His childhood with Aliendra had been so brief, and he’d been forced to leave the country for his family’s business. Until, in the end, he lost his time with Aliendra, and that painful reality hit when he was in an accident; not a single hospital treating him offered a cure for his legs.
Every time he felt pain in his legs, Bariel had to endure it with all his strength, and eventually, he decided on euthanasia in Canada, where his stepbrother Alejandro lived. At that very moment, Bariel overheard a rumor that Aliendra and his stepbrother were in a close relationship. But who would have thought that now he is the husband of the very girl he once desired so much. Should he leave and let go of that woman?
It seems Bariel is unwilling to let his time with Aliendra be taken away so easily.
“What does this mean? Am I afraid of the death I’ve decided on myself? Will I back down and revoke that decision? Wouldn’t being selfish just torment Aliendra? If I don’t go through with the euthanasia, that means Aliendra will be bound to me for life and burdened with caring for me. Wouldn’t that be incredibly painful for her? Am I willing to watch and let her be hurt and burdened by me? Ugh!”
Bariel’s head suddenly felt hot, as if on fire. There was so much inner conflict. His mind was restless. He desperately wanted to return to his wheelchair. But his hand, which served as a pillow for his sleeping wife, kept him from moving. Bariel didn’t dare even touch her slightly, for that would disturb her—or even wake Aliendra. Could this be what they call falling head over heels in love?
Eventually, the man chose to remain still, letting his other hand go numb. He himself fell asleep after a while of wrestling with his own thoughts.
Just as evening fell, Bariel woke up but was startled to find Aliendra wasn’t beside him. Yet faintly, he heard someone speaking on a phone call.
“Don’t worry. I haven’t changed, Andro. I’ll always be your close friend. Go home if it’s time for you to go. Your older sister needs you to visit her, too. He’s the only family you have here. Just get along with him.”
And that was Aliendra’s voice, taking a call from Alejandro Tuna Adhiyaksa. The young man who had been part of the Adhiyaksa family for the past few decades. Their conversation seemed lighthearted and cheerful. Evidenced by the soft laughter escaping Aliendra’s lips.
Bariel held his breath. Suddenly, his chest felt hot. A mix of frustration and anger filled his heart. He felt jealous of his stepbrother, who seemed so perfect in every way. Although long ago, he too had once experienced the pinnacle of perfection as the first young prince. But ever since that accident that took his life, Bariel felt like nothing more than a deeply shameful burden.
Cough! Cough!
The sound of coughing cut off the phone call. Aliendra quickly ran from the balcony toward her bed.
“Bariel! Are you okay?” she asked in a panic when she saw Bariel had woken up.
“No. I just choked.”
“Your stepbrother called to ask how you were doing. He tried to reach you a few times earlier. Since you didn’t pick up, he called me.” Bariel was stunned. It turned out he’d misunderstood.
“What did he say?”
“He’ll probably be back in the country soon. His work is done, and your dad told him to help you at the company.”
Bariel’s eyes fixed on Aliendra as if he were feeling pain and anguish.
“That means you’ll be seeing each other often,” he thought, his heart aching.
