The loud, chaotic noise seemed to be really bothering Bariel, who was in the study with Leo.
“What’s going on out there, Leo? It’s so loud and disruptive.” Leo walked over to the door and was back in no time.
“Young Master Alejandro has arrived; the Lady is greeting him.” Before Leo could even finish explaining, Bariel had already maneuvered his wheelchair. He opened the door and saw how happy Aliendra looked as she hugged her stepbrother.
Bariel’s chest tightened instantly. Both his palms, resting on the armrests of his wheelchair, clenched tightly.
“Are you doing well?”
“Hmm! Just as you can see. Even more beautiful and enchanting.” The two of them burst into hearty laughter again. Alejandro’s hand still held Aliendra’s slender shoulder tightly.
“Thank goodness. I thought you were stressed by that sudden wedding.”
“Hmm!”
Instantly, both Aliendra and Alejandro turned their heads upon hearing the voice.
“Sis. Are you done working?”
“When did you arrive?” Bariel asked in a cold, flat tone.
“About 15 minutes ago. Sorry I didn’t come see you right away—Aliendra said you were working at home.”
Bariel glared at Aliendra, causing the young woman to approach him.
“I’m sorry if I was presumptuous. I just didn’t want to interrupt your work. Let’s go to the dining room. I’ve finished cooking.” Bariel continued to stare at her gentle face. A smile spread across Aliendra’s face, instantly melting his heart, and he nodded in agreement with his wife’s words.
At the dining table, the three of them sat in silence. The tension made Leo, standing beside Bariel, feel extremely awkward.
“Leo. You should sit down and eat with us,” Aliendra said, looking up at the assistant. Leo was startled and fell silent. He looked at his young master. Feeling Bariel’s gaze, he met Leo’s eyes and signaled for him to obey his wife’s command.
Shortly after, Leo was sitting next to Alejandro. The young man who had just arrived glanced briefly at everyone. He felt a little relieved because it turned out his only older brother had softened. Apparently, Aliendra, that young girl, was able to make his stone-hearted older brother put his ego aside.
“Brother. Eat plenty. As long as I’m here, I’ll always check on you.”
Bariel choked. He nearly gagged. Aliendra quickly grabbed some water for him.
“Take your time eating,” the girl said, rubbing his broad back.
That body, clad in a suit and white shirt, had once made Aliendra scream hysterically. It turned out that behind his two disabled legs, Bariel was a perfectly masculine man, and that made Aliendra still imagine how delightful every touch from her husband felt.
“Aren’t you going to stay here? Why visit me? We’ll see each other every day.” Alejandro set down his utensils and looked at Bariel.
“No, brother. I’ll be staying in one of the villas in the Northern City while helping you acquire the Adhitama company. That company must be saved immediately so it doesn’t fall into the hands of foreign companies—especially irresponsible people.”
Bariel froze for a moment. He was still holding his cutlery and staring at his stepbrother’s handsome face. He didn’t look like a man who was going to steal his wife. Alejandro’s expression was completely casual. His mixed-race features were so unique that he looked incredibly charming and handsome. It was certain that any woman would easily fall in love with him. That subtle rejection reminded Bariel of Aliendra’s status—she was now his wife. Apparently, Alejandro respected her status. He even respected him as his stepbrother.
“Alright. Do as you please,” Bariel replied. An immense sense of relief crept into the depths of his heart. He was glad that Alejandro wouldn’t be seeing his wife often.
The meeting and conversation at the dinner table led to a positive outcome. Alejandro left Bariel’s house at exactly 9:00 p.m. He headed to the villa in the north, driven there by Leo.
“Do you mind if I acquire that Northern company?” Aliendra shook her head.
“I’m actually happy about it. That means the company will be saved. Thank you so much, Bariel. You’re my savior.” Aliendra hugged the man who was still sitting in his wheelchair.
Bariel felt something about to explode. His chest pounded, and his thoughts raced wildly.
“Aliendra. Don’t do things like this too often,” he said in a hoarse, low voice. Aliendra was startled and then sat on her husband’s lap, wrapping both arms around his neck. And that only intensified the unease in Bariel’s heart.
“Why not? I’m doing it to my own husband, not some other man.” That unexpected answer made Bariel even more flustered. Especially when he felt something protruding beneath his pants. And Aliendra noticed it because she felt a sharp prick.
“It’s hard,” she whispered in Bariel’s ear. He tried to hold his breath but failed. It seemed his hormones and libido were surging faster and faster. “Let’s do it now.” That invitation left Bariel unable to think straight. He immediately thrust and pounded, touching every inch of Aliendra’s body.
Hearing the moans and whimpers escape the young girl’s lips within seconds was exactly what Bariel loved most. His soul seemed to soar every time he heard his wife’s screams and cries. His hormones and libido surged to the top of his head, beyond his control.
In less than an hour, both of their bodies were convulsing violently.
“Darlingggg!”
That long moan was heard by both Aliendra and Bariel. Their bodies collapsed onto the sofa in their bedroom. They had done it on that long, large sofa.
Aliendra gazed at the handsome face that was currently closed-eyed. She felt an overwhelming urge to speak up to stop Bariel from going through with the euthanasia.
“Bariel. Can I change my mind? Stop you from making that decision. It seems I’ve already fallen head over heels for you.” The girl’s heart spoke.
“Aliendra. Are you in pain? Why are you crying?” Aliendra was startled and quickly wiped the tears streaming down her slender cheeks.
“Ah, no,” she replied quickly.
“Did I hurt you?” Bariel asked frantically, holding Aliendra’s small shoulders.
“No, no. I’m just moved. It turns out my handsome husband is so manly. In fact, I think I’m really hooked. Can we do it again?”
Bariel was taken aback. With his deep blue eyes, he gazed intently at Aliendra.
“Are you sure?”
“Hmm.”
“But you mustn’t fall in love with me, Aliendra.” Those words left Aliendra speechless. Her chest instantly ached and throbbed.
