After my one-on-one talk with Davina, where I assured her that I had no intention of stopping her from getting to know Rylan, she and I started to make our way back to the hallway that led to our rooms.
The real reason I pulled her aside to have a conversation with her was because I didn't like how she and Davin were having a back-and-forth. The last thing I wanted was for my children to fight over their different opinions on Rylan, and even though I didn't love the idea of Davina getting to know Rylan, I didn't want her to feel I was taking sides because of what I wanted.
On our way to our rooms, we passed by the hallway where the kitchen was located. I didn't even realize how far we had walked while we were talking until we arrived at a dead end earlier.
