I sat impatiently in my office, the tension seeping into every corner of the room. My heart raced, anticipation mingling with anger as I waited for the servant's return. I had sent her to check if Lycia had finally come back, and now it was time to confront her once and for all.
There were so many things I wanted to say, so many questions burning in my mind, and I needed answers. Not like her answers would change the truth, but I still needed to hear them.
A knock on the door brought me out of my thoughts, and I immediately called for the person to come in, assuming it was the servant I had sent earlier. True to my expectations, the servant walked in, her eyes downcast in respect.
"Alpha Rylan," she began, "I checked for Luna Lycia, but she has still not returned."
