As they drove away from the scene, Sophia's phone buzzed with an incoming call. She answered, listening intently to the person on the other end.
Alessia watched as Sophia's expression changed from calm to concerned. "What is it?" Alessia asked, feeling a sense of unease.
Sophia hesitated before answering. "It's my contact at the police department," she said. "He's warning us that Victor has connections with some of the police officers. We can't trust anyone."
Alessia's eyes widened in shock. "What does that mean?" she asked.
Sophia's expression turned grim. "It means we have to be careful about who we trust," she said. "We can't go to the police with the evidence. We have to find another way to take Victor down."
Dominic's eyes narrowed. "I have an idea," he said. "Let's take the evidence to the press. We can expose Victor's crimes to the public."
Sophia nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "That's a great idea," she said. "But we have to be careful. Victor will stop at nothing to silence us."
Alessia felt a surge of determination. She knew that they had a long and difficult road ahead of them, but she was ready to fight.
As they drove to the press conference, Alessia couldn't help but feel a sense of nervousness. What would happen when they exposed Victor's crimes to the public? Would they be able to bring him to justice ?
Alessia, Dominic, and Sophia arrived at the press conference, surrounded by a flurry of reporters and camera crews. Sophia took a deep breath, her eyes locked onto Alessia's.
"Are you ready for this?" Sophia asked, her voice firm.
Alessia nodded, feeling a surge of determination. "I was born ready," she said.
Sophia smiled, a small smile playing on her lips. "Then let's do this," she said.
The three of them stepped up to the microphone, surrounded by a sea of reporters. Sophia began to speak, her voice clear and confident.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have gathered here today to expose a web of deceit and corruption that goes all the way to the top," Sophia said. "Victor, a wealthy and influential businessman, has been using his power and influence to embezzle funds and launder money."
The room erupted into a flurry of questions and camera clicks. Alessia stood tall, her eyes locked onto the reporters.
"We have evidence," Alessia said, her voice firm. "We have documents and records that prove Victor's involvement in these crimes."
Dominic stepped forward, his eyes locked onto the reporters. "We are calling on the authorities to take action," Dominic said. "We are calling on them to investigate Victor and bring him to justice."
The room erupted into chaos, with reporters shouting questions and camera crews jostling for position. Alessia, Dominic, and Sophia stood tall, their eyes locked onto the crowd.
They knew that they had just taken a huge risk, but they also knew that it was necessary. They had to expose Victor's crimes, no matter the cost.
As they left the press conference, Alessia felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. They had done it. They had taken the first step towards bringing Victor down.
But as they walked away from the crowd, Alessia couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. She glanced over her shoulder, but saw nothing.
Still, the feeling persisted. And Alessia knew that she wouldn't be able to rest until Victor was behind bars.
As they walked away from the press conference, Alessia felt a sense of relief wash over her. They had done it. They had taken the first step towards bringing Victor down.
But as they turned the corner, Alessia saw a familiar face waiting for them. It was Detective James, the same detective who had been investigating Victor's crimes.
"Alessia, Dominic, Sophia," Detective James said, his voice firm. "I need to talk to you."
Alessia's heart skipped a beat as she wondered what Detective James wanted. Had Victor already retaliated?
"What is it, Detective?" Sophia asked, her voice calm.
Detective James hesitated before answering. "We've received an anonymous tip that Victor is planning to leave the country," he said. "We need your help to stop him."
Alessia's eyes widened in shock. "What? How did he find out about the press conference?" she asked.
Detective James shook his head. "We don't know, but we need to act fast. Can you help us?"
Dominic nodded, his eyes locked onto Detective James. "We're in," he said. "What's the plan?"
Victor's face was red with rage as he watched the press conference on TV. He couldn't believe that Alessia, Dominic, and Sophia had actually gone through with it.
"How could they be so stupid?" Victor spat, his voice echoing through the room.
His assistant, Rachel, stood quietly in the corner, her eyes fixed on Victor. "Sir, maybe we should—" she began.
Victor cut her off, his voice rising. "No, we need to take action. Now."
Rachel nodded, her eyes never leaving Victor's face. "Yes, sir."
Victor's eyes narrowed as he turned back to the TV. Alessia, Dominic, and Sophia were still talking to the reporters, their faces confident and determined.
Victor's anger turned to cold calculation. He knew that he had to take care of this problem once and for all.
"Rachel, get Marco on the phone," Victor said, his voice low and menacing.
Rachel nodded, her hands shaking slightly as she dialed the number.
Victor's eyes never left the TV screen as he waited for Marco to answer. He knew that it was time to take drastic measures.
Marco answered on the first ring, his voice firm. "Yes, boss?"
Victor's eyes narrowed as he watched Alessia, Dominic, and Sophia on TV. "Marco, I need you to take care of something for me," Victor said, his voice low and menacing.
Marco hesitated for a moment before answering. "What do you need me to do, boss?"
Victor's smile grew wider. "I need you to take care of Alessia, Dominic, and Sophia. Permanently."
Marco's voice was firm. "Consider it done, boss."
Victor's eyes never left the TV screen as he ended the call. He knew that Marco would take care of the problem.
But as he turned to Rachel, he saw a look of concern on her face. "Sir, are you sure this is a good idea?" Rachel asked, her voice hesitant.
Victor's expression turned cold. "Don't question me, Rachel," he spat. "Just do your job."
Rachel nodded, her eyes never leaving Victor's face. But Victor could see the doubt in her eyes
