Uncle Marcus's eyes widened in fear, and he took a step back, as if trying to escape the figure's gaze. Alessia's instincts screamed at her to be cautious. Who was this sinister figure? "Who are you?" she demanded, trying to keep her voice steady. The figure turned to her, a cold smile spreading across his face. "I'm someone who knows all about your family's secrets, Alessia," he said, his eyes glinting with amusement. Alessia's heart skipped a beat. What secrets? Uncle Marcus seemed to sense her unease. "Alessia, this is...Victor," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. Victor's eyes locked onto Alessia's, his gaze piercing. "And I'm here to make sure you don't uncover any more secrets, Alessia," he said, his voice dripping with malice. Alessia's heart was racing as she backed away from Victor, her eyes locked onto his menacing gaze. She knew she had to get out of there, and fast. She turned and rushed out of the hospital room, her phone already in her hand. She dialed a familiar number, her fingers shaking with fear. "Dom?" she whispered, her voice trembling. Dominic's voice was calm and reassuring on the other end of the line. "Alessia, what's wrong?" he asked, his tone firm. Alessia took a deep breath, trying to calm down. "It's Victor," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "He's here, and he's threatening me." Dominic's voice turned icy. "Where are you?" he demanded. Alessia glanced around, trying to get her bearings. "I'm at the hospital," she said. "My mother's room." Dominic's voice was firm. "Stay there, Alessia. I'm on my way." Alessia's heart skipped a beat. She knew she could trust Dominic to keep her safe. But as she waited for Dominic to arrive, she couldn't shake off the feeling
