Alyse jumped as her Aunt shouted her name ."yes mistress" she answered as she bowed in front her .Her Aunt considered servants who looked her eye to eye rude therefore deserved punishment."what is this "she said pointing to finger prints smudge on the glass door Alysey had jus finished cleaning. Alysey raised her heard to examine the smudge. Before she could answer she felt the sting of a slap on her left cheek , followed by another one on her right cheek ."You lazy idot" her aunt screamed "isn't it enough that I give you food and a roof over your head that you be grateful. I want this mess cleaned now ". Alysey looked up at her Aunt ,she was a pretty woman but she had a way of looking like she had just bit a lemon when she was talking to someone she considered beneath her."Yes Mistress "she said and walked way quickly to go and get the cleaning things. She was aware her cousin Edward had watched the whole thing.She didn't like the way he always watched her . It made her skin crawl.He enjoyed giving her the so called pushments .She avoided being with him at all costs.She didn't trust him. Alysey thought of her parents .
