A story is nothing if not started from the very beginning, yet sometimes the beginning has nothing to do with the future but without it the future has no meaning. Here it goes I was very young when my story started, I was only at the age of 8. We travel through the village seeing a close community with people of all races and figures, one could see this was a rich village as the houses were built for a Noble family. As we traveled along the roads one boy caught my attention when he started following our carriage. We were close to the palace gates when the boy had vanished into the bushes, that was the last time I saw him until later in my life. I couldn’t forget this boy as he had haunted my dreams, he was not a normal boy he had claw like marks that covered the skin of his arms and eyes you would fear, for one was black as night and one blue as the sky.
The gates opened showing the beauty of the palace, making me forget all about the boy who hid amongst the shadows only to remember him again late at night. The first thing that caught my attention of the palace was the magnificent gardens Infront of the palace and the birds chirping happily as the summer sun shined upon them, they were of all species and of all colors they were truly beautiful there was no other word for it.
There between all the beauty stood guards posted on every piece of land as if something was well hidden here yet at that age I did not understand. So, I looked past the fear I had that time and just enjoyed the beauty. I looked over to my sister to see her just as amazed by everything as I was. Mother and father just looked ahead with a hard face as if they were expecting something bad to happen yet nothing did, so the further we rode in to the castle ground we saw the king and queen approaching with armored guards around them.
As we came to a stop mother and father got off first greeting the king and queen in a polite manner while we just smiled and bowed our heads slightly.
My attention was not fully there as I was still admiring the beauty around me so when I heard someone greet me I did not turn around, then the person shook my arm and greeted again that’s when I turned around seeing a boy a bit older than me with the greenest forest eyes and blond hair. We stared at each other as if we were in a trance we could not break out of so when his father called the boy by his name being prince Nicholas he turned around and went to greet my sister Victoria. There was another boy that looked nothing like his father or mother he had black hair and dark blue eyes, he greeted me with a smile and a small bow of his head. After that it’s all history. The year’s started moving by quickly and before I knew it, I was at the age of 15, I had become close friends with prince Nicholas whereas I did not get along with his sibling Daniel the younger brother. The prince and I would spend most of our time together until one day we didn’t. I didn’t know the meaning of this so I still tried to get his attention up until I noticed my sister and him were getting closer by the day, he would hold her hand and kiss her cheek call her pet names such as love or princess to which she would blush every time.
I asked mother why did he not want me as a friend anymore to which she answered they were engaged that they had an arranged marriage that was ordered by the king and from there on out I had to stay away from the prince.
Later that year I went in to mother and fathers bed room to greet them and say happy birthday as it was fathers birthday yet he was nowhere to be seen I woke mother up asking her if she had knowledge as to where he was but she had none, so we went to the king in search or help to find him but the more we searched throughout the kingdom he was nowhere and everyone soon lost hope in ever finding him. We grieved for days long until it all just became a distant memory even if the hurt was still there from time to time. Everyone eventually had forgotten about the Noble man called Eric Brooke and our mother became head of the Brook house making all the decisions.
