Clark’s POV
“It is my honor to present to you for the first time Mr. and Mrs. Clark Joseph Armstrong”.
I will never forget this day for the rest of my life. Everything was falling into place, I was going to be attending Yale Law school in the fall, and taking my beloved with me. I look down at the hazel eyes, staring back at me, and know that I made the best decision of my life. It sweetens the deal to know that my parents think so too.
I look over my shoulder at my mom and dad, who were also high school sweethearts, and married shortly after they graduated as well. They were my example of true love.
Sure they had disagreements, but their love for each other always outweighed everything else. I wanted that with only one person, my Catherine. I still remember the first time I saw her.
I was in second grade, and had just moved to the neighborhood. I was nervous, and didn’t really want to go to school, but my parents were adamant that I was to go to school that day. I walk into class, introduce myself and the teacher tells me to take a seat.
I didn’t want to sit with anyone as I surveyed the room, until I saw a pair of Hazel eyes staring back at me. Shy, but smiling, I felt drawn to the chocolate haired beauty. Luck just happened to be on my side because the seat next to her was empty.
I walk around over, and hold out my hand. “Hi I’m Clark” I say to her. She places her hand in mine and says, “ Hi I’m Catherine “. I sat down next to her, and they rest was history.
Catherine was an everlasting presence in my life, and when we realized what it was to like the opposite s*x, I knew it was Catherine for me.
I knew from the very beginning that she would be cherished by me. I have seen the way she was raised, and how her parents preferred Monica over Catherine. I would be forever grateful that they did, because now I have my treasure. I have my Catherine.
My life was complete, I was ready for whatever the world threw at me, because I would have my beloved by my side for everything. Just like I would be by her side threw everything.
Our lives were never going to be the same. She was going to be first for everything. No matter what. Catherine Louise Armstrong held first place in my life and my heart for all eternity.
