CHAPTER 2

Taking a short turn into an alley , April's steps became faster as the rain suddenly started drizzling and hitting against her skin.

If there was anything she hated the most, that'll probably be the tendency to get sick easily.

Just when she thought it was going to start raining heavily, few drops of cold white powder dropped on her milk colored skin making her shudder in daze

snow?

why is there snow when it's spring?

just when she got lost in thought there was a loud cracking sound from the sky accompanied by a frightening stream of silver light from the sky rushing straight to the alley hitting a trash trolley

Making a narrow dodge at the strike with her hands hugging her head ,a sharp scream unconsciously left her lips as she crouched down in fright

using a few seconds to recollect her breath, April couldn't help but think she really picked the wrong day to go to school

how could it rain and snow at the exact same time?

Is the Earth confused? or have I gone mad? she thought shaking her head

"what the heck is happening?"

Before she could answer herself, she heard a small whimper from the corner of the alley and thankfully she was not so curious enough to check it out.

Without hesitation April lifted her feet to exit the alley

step "whimper.."

Step"whimper..."

Step"whimper...."

but with every step she took the whimpering sound only got louder and her steps became heavier than the last.

April:"......."

" fine! you win" she sighed stomping towards the sound

According to facts..... lightening will only strike a place twice if it's a pointy ,tall or isolated object. After encouraging herself,she reached into trash trolley and scavenged from the trash to find the source of the sound
