"Silence! You'll speak once I tell you to speak!" He hollered with an authoritarian boom that shook the pack house.
For a split second, everybody paused, and the surrounding air began to tense.
All that was heard was the silence in it. Which was as though the sound of a pin dropped on the floor could be heard.
"Are you okay Adam?" I asked, trying to dispel whatever was about to happen.
However he kept his mouth shut.
Then, he faced me through glaring eyes, and a gulp escaped my lips.
I shouldn't have done that. What if he hates me! I pondered, unsure of what would occur.
