DAISY’S POV
It took quite a bit of time to convince Maya to step out of her cage. Beads of sweat gathered on my forehead as I closed my eyes in concentration as I followed Kendra’s instruction.
I visualized Maya inside a cage in my mind’s eye and I was holding the keys. I opened the door just like Kendra said but Maya shifted backwards, afraid to show herself to the world after the betrayal we both from Robert.
“Maya, you don’t have to be afraid anymore,” I spoke quietly, stepping into the cage to move toward her.
