Mira had arrived. After an intense shopping spree, Freya dragged Mira to Club 99. She was throwing her a welcome party to celebrate her freedom, but Mira did not expect to run into Cathan and his friends there. She recognized them immediately when she walked in. Logan was Cathan’s best friend and also one of Mia’s close pals. Back when Cathan and Mia’s relationship was still glamorous, everyone in their circle adored Mia. For more than two years, none of them had welcomed Mira. The names they always called her were the same: “The substitute bride,” “Country bumpkin,” and so on. When a man doesn’t love you, his friends won’t respect you either. On the other hand, Freya was already fuming and rolling up her sleeves. “I’m going to teach them a lesson today.” Mira grabbed Freya’s hand and pushed her back. “Let them be, Freya. We are already divorced. You don’t have to waste your energy on them.” Seeing how calm Mira looked, Freya managed to calm her anger down a little. People had started staring and admiring Mira’s beauty. “Wow, so beautiful.” The compliments immediately improved Freya’s mood. “Mira, come on. Time to start the welcoming party.” She led her to another luxury booth and waved her hand to call the server. “Call over all your male models!” she said to the server. Back at the other booth, Cathan’s friends were still mocking and abusing Mira when they suddenly felt a cold, sharp gaze shoot toward them. They looked up and saw Cathan lazily lifting his eyes from the center seat. His gaze was filled with coldness, displeasure, and a clear warning. They all shut up instantly, not daring to say another bad word about Mira. Although Cathan had never really cared about Mira before, deep down, he still had some lingering feelings for her. After all, they had lived together for two years, and she had taken care of him diligently throughout his illness. Just then, the commotion around them grew louder. “She is so beautiful, just like a fairy.” “A fairy?” “Where is she?” The commotion grew so loud that it almost covered the sound of the music. Logan followed everyone’s gaze and froze. “f**k, she is really a fairy.” The others followed his gaze too, except Cathan. “When did London get such a fairy? And how come we have never seen her before?” Logan tugged at Cathan, trying to make him look at the mysterious woman. When Cathan finally lifted his head, he only saw Mira. She had removed her glasses and let down her long black hair. Her cool aura made her look even more beautiful and breathtaking. Cathan looked at her and paused for two seconds. He stared at the “fairy” again and suddenly felt like she looked familiar. Just then, a group of male models blurred his view. Freya laughed. “Mira, tonight is for you. Pick the one you want.” Mira looked at her friend, who was laughing like someone on drugs, and said in a low voice, “I’m not interested in all this, Freya.” Freya went ahead and picked for her. “You, you… and you stay.” Logan started counting. “One, two, three, four, five.” “f**k! She picked five models in one go.” All of them laughed. Just then, Cathan’s phone chimed again. A new notification appeared. He picked it up to check what she had bought this time. “DEAR VVIP CUSTOMER, YOUR CARD WAS DEBITED $60,000 AT CLUB 99 FOR THE ORDER OF FIVE MALE MODELS AND THREE HENNESSY.” Cathan’s expression darkened immediately. He read the words “five male models” twice before shifting his gaze toward the fairy in the booth across from him. So the fairy was none other than Mira? She had actually picked five male models and paid for them with his money. Cathan stood up immediately and strode out. Logan froze. “Cathan, where are you going?” Cathan made his way toward the fairy surrounded by handsome, shirtless men. They were all drinking and playing word games, but Mira kept losing, and whenever she missed an answer, they forced her to drink. Just as she was about to take another drink, a large, well-defined hand suddenly reached out and pulled her slender body from the couch. Mira looked up, and Cathan’s handsome face filled her vision. She froze. Then she immediately struggled to free her wrist from his grip. “Cathan! Let go of me.” He dragged her along with a cold expression. Freya jumped up. “What are you doing, Cathan? Let go of Mira!” Logan and the other friends who had followed behind all looked shocked and confused. “Mira?” “So the fairy is Mira?”
