"You are the new student right? Welcome to Jazielly Academy". The masculine figure said to Ashley.
" Yeah"
" I'm Roy Cooper". He introduced.
" Ash.. "
" Ashley". He finished
" Your name is on everyone's lips". He said smirking.
Her name being on everyone's lips means they must have heard about the incident at Royal Academy.
"What was said about me?"
"Nothing much, just saying you are amazingly beautiful". Roy said smiling.
" Who's your roommate? ". Roy liked asking new students this question. Just to add to his information.
"Peach Fernandez"
"Peach?".
"Yep."
She saw fear in his eyes and wondered what the problem was.
"Anny issue?". Ashley asked
"No"
Roy excuses himself and left.
"What's with all these weirdos". Ashley thought.

" Hey Peach". Ashley started.
She didn't like the way things were weird between both of them.
No reply.
"I got to know some of the kids in this school through Aoife's help. Students here are weird"
Still, she got no reply.
" Fine". Ashley gave up.
She laid on her bed bored. Then, she slept off.
As soon as Peach sensed that Ashley had fallen asleep, she walked to her. Placing her hands on Ashley's head, she said
"Placing this mark on your forehead
To keep you away from red.
Finally I've seen my companion
Who would be of a great help in this mission
To bring back the future of Jazielly Academy"
When she was done, Ashley rolled over and a mark appeared on her head.

"Hey Ashley". Aoife whispered during class.
" Would you mind going with me to the library after class? "
" Not at all". Ashley said.
Ashley looked round the class and observed a new face.
"Who's that?". She asked Aoife
"That's Cohen Abbott". Aoife said dreamily.
"Cohen is every girl's dream. He's cute, strong, brave. What more can I say? "
" What about the other guy you spoke about? The school most handsome boy Elmer Bernstein".
" Forget about him. He's a pushover. Just there to fill in space". Aoife said
" What happened to this one? ". She asked referring to Cohen.
" Something happened some months ago. I'm only telling you because you are my friend. We don't say this to newbie".
" Ok". Ashley answered in haste to hear the gist.
" Cohen and his roommate Tom had a huge fight. I think Tom was jealous because Cohen was popular or rather because of Mona Wales". Aoife narrated
" The peahen? ". Ashley interrupted
Aoife nodded.
" But I don't think Cohen had his eyes on Mona. Tom warned Cohen to stay away from Mona which caused a huge fight between them. After the fight, both friends never spoke with each other again"
Aoife took a deep breath and continued.
"Later on, Tom was missing and surprisingly, found dead three days later"
" Goodness! "
" Majority accused Cohen, called him names. Principal White quickly stepped in and informed the students that Cohen did nothing".
" What does the old man know". Ashley muttered.
" Cohen fell sick. A sickness which could take one's life because Tom was his best friend. He was sent home immediately".
" Oh! Poor dear". Ashley said staring at Cohen. The kind she gave to poor little creatures.
Cohen gaze met hers and she quickly looked away.
Ashley observed that his gaze were still on her.
"Welcome back Cohen Abbott. Glad you are safe now". The teacher said with a smile.
" Thanks ma"
Ashley and Aoife went to the library after classes.
"So, what's your thought about Cohen? isn't he cool?" Aoife asked as she had her hands full with books.
" Sure, he is".
" Aren't you done with the books picking? I'm feeling extremely tired". Ashley said
" Almost".
After Aoife was done, they both went to the dorm. Ashley didn't want to go to her room because of her boring roommate.
She went to a confined space in the school.
"What's this place?". She thought.
She went in, brought out her phone from her pocket and texted Gwen Carr, her best friend at Royal Academy.
"Hey Gwen". She texted.
"Hey Ashley, how are you doing? it's been weeks since I last heard from you".
" Yeah. Since Karen's misbehavior. How's she anyway? "
" Still at the hospital".
Ashley heard a sharp eerie sound.
"What's that? ". She thought.
" How are things over there?" Gwen sent a text.
"My mom got me into a dead school. I mean everything here is weird"
" Dead?"
A shadow of something enormous passed.
" I'll call you sometime". Ashley texted and placed her phone in her pocket.
"Hello". Her voice echoed as the creature's shadow covered her. She turned to face it.
The creature was three-headed. Each head having four eyes and the face of a bird. It made a goofing sound which frightened Ashley.
"Goodness! What's this?"
"Help!".
"Can anyone hear me?"
No answer. Ashley began cursing the day she stepped her foot in Jazielly Academy.
Then, the creature lifted its claws ready to strike. As it was about to pounce on her, a great light shone from her eyes and the creature screamed as it disintegrated. Ashley passed out.
Ashley woke up in an unfamiliar room. It was not hers.
"How are you feeling?". Someone asked.
"Cohen?"
"What happened to me?"
So, it was Cohen's room.
"You can't remember what happened?" Cohen asked.
Ashley shook her head.
" I saw you on the ground by the infirmary"
"Really?"
Ashley tried to remember what happened but she couldn't.
"Nevermind. Thanks for helping me". She said squeezing his hands lightly.
" I have to go now". Ashley said and left.
Cohen's mind went back to the light he saw from Ashley's eyes. Were they just his imaginations? He will get to know more about her.
