Revenna's POV
I don't know how, but I was able to fall asleep after like an hour.
After a refreshing nap, I sat up and ate the fruit I had seen earlier. Everything tasted so much better than normal. Damn, I must be really hungry if stuff tastes better than I remember. Lastly, I gulped down the water, then swung my legs over the edge of the bed.
'Daniel, even his name sounds dreamy...' It sounds like Freya's about to swoon. I rolled my eyes at her.
'Over Dylan so quickly, eh?' I teased her a bit, but she's ignoring me now.
I wonder how he's dealing with everything. He had a pack house filled with wolves to deal with. Luckily, the rooms are all sound proofed, so no one heard us.
I stood up achingly, and headed over to the mirror to check the damage from the crash. I didn't even think about how I looked earlier when Daniel was here. I probably look like a hobo.
I must have had a nasty gash on my head because there is a large chunk of crusted blood in my hair above my left ear. at least that portion is also shaved, otherwise it would have been a b**ch to get the blood out. Further, there weren't any other traces of blood.
I smelled my hands and arms, and they smelled of soap, with very faint traces of blood. I lifted my knees and took a whiff of my legs as well. They have the same washed off blood smell.
He must have cleaned me up, because I'm wearing a black oversized t-shirt as well. I lifted the shirt and pressed it to my nose, inhaling deeply.
Sandalwood. Dylan.
'Don't you dare think about him.' Freya protested. She is still touchy on that subject.
'Sorry Frey, he's still my best friend.' I tried reasoning with her. I do miss him and I wonder how he's doing.
'More like was...' She's really touchy, sheesh.
Wow, so Daniel found me, brought me here, undressed me, cleaned me up and redressed me?
That must have been when he felt the mate bond. But I only smelled him after he touched me. And I didn't even hear him enter. Maybe my senses were just a bit dull and delayed from the crash. A bath will help.
I explored the 2 doors I saw earlier. The one next to the dresser is a walk-in closet, filled with different types of clothing and shoes. I pick out a pair of red booty shorts and a white tank top to sleep in and some underwear, finding that everything was my size. Well, I guess my size is quite normal? Maybe this is the room of a sister or cousin, because it's really well stocked with anything I might need.
I headed to the second door and walked straight into a luxurious bathroom. The tiles all over have a stone effect, the basin to the right looks like it was carved out of a rock, with the mirror also in a rock-like setting. The bath was in the far left corner, which also looked like it was part of some rock, and next to it was the shower, with mosaic tiles, laid in a manner that looked like a tree. There were different sizes of downlights scattered across the ceiling, which was painted black, giving it the perfect night sky effect. It's beautiful.
After some investigation, I found that the bathroom was fully equipped with everything I'd needed as well, and I found a basket filled with bath bombs. I took out one that looked like an opal, and ran myself a bath. Once the water was the perfect level, I threw in the bath bomb and undressed while I waited for the bath bomb to melt away.
I climbed into the bath and submerged myself in the hot water. The water felt so good on all my sore spots, like it was easing the pain. I stretched my arms up with some difficulty and lowered them to balance on the edge of the bath. My finger felt a button, which I pushed and this turned on the jets in the bath.
EPIC!
'Oh, yeah, those are hitting all the right spots.' I hear Freya purr at the relaxing feeling of the water massaging away our pain.
My mind wandered to Dylan again. Goddess, I miss him.
Sure, he rejected me and I have already found another mate, but our connection will always be strong. I will always care for him. He must be worried about me. The last time he saw me was when I accepted his rejection and ran away from him. I'm sure he saw me disappear into the woods and knew where I was going.
FLASHBACK
"Rev, I know you're here, please show yourself."
I was standing right in front of him. At my secret spot right next to the lake. I didn't show myself, because I wanted to stay invisible. Dylan knew exactly where I was and was able to place both his hands on my shoulders and stare into my soul.
"Please." he pleaded.
I made myself visible and stared at him. "Please, tell me you didn't tell anyone Dylan."
"I honestly do not know how Alpha Caleb knows, or if he even knows. He doesn't like you because you're outspoken and fiery. He wants people to fear and obey him, and you don't."
That's true. Maybe I'm just overthinking the situation. Dylan really wouldn't tell anyone about my magic. Alpha Caleb calling me a little witch, is just a comment. Nothing more.
"How did you know where I was?" I asked Dylan, with knitted brows, staring intently at him.
"This is our spot, you always come here and I always find you here."
END OF FLASHBACK
I should at least send him a text or something. I'll just ask Daniel where my phone is.
Wait.
My car!
It's probably wrecked. It was the last present I got from dad. The day before he died.
Tears started spilling from my eyes as I lay in the tub, sobbing. I didn't even try to stop it, I just kept silently crying.
After a while of crying, my tears dried up and the gears in my head started turning.
Train.
I have to find out whether Daniel has a gym or something, or I could just train outside in the forest. Yes, that way I can get a few hours of witch-training as well. I really want to improve my magic to the point where my witch side is as good as my wolf side.
I turn off the jets and pour more warm water into the tub. I finish up in the tub and go do my hair. All I need is a quick blow dry and a bit of mousse for styling to keep it in place and out of my face. I was able to get the crusted blood off my scalp and there isn't any scarring either.
When I step out of the bathroom, I feel bored and decide to go exploring. I turned into the closet first to look for something to cover up my skimpy outfit choice.
'Why do you need to cover up? He already saw everything.' I swear I can feel Freya wiggling her eyebrows and I groaned.
'Yes, and I was unconscious when that happened.' I bit back at her.
'Some coffee would be great. Maybe you'll relax after being caffeinated.' I hate her sarcasm.
'Let's look for the kitchen then.' I answered equally annoyed, which got quite a positive response.
'Hopefully Danny-boy is up.' Of course, that's where her mind goes.
