Chapter 31
Rescue
Third-Person POV:
Ananya didn’t know until now how important Alex was to her.
"The person we remember in the last minute of our life must be the most important one," she thought.
Lopez ran one hand along her thighs, the other gripping her chest.
Bang! Bang!
Lopez didn’t hear the noise outside—he was lost in l**t and desire.
Summoning the last of her strength, Ana shoved him away and kneed him hard between the legs. He screamed and fell to the side.
She couldn’t hear anything anymore—her only thought was **escape**. She stumbled to the door without looking back.
Lopez shouted, "You b****! You can’t escape from me!"
He got up and lunged toward her, kicking her from behind just as the door burst open.
Ana fell—straight into a man's arms.
She felt her body cool in his embrace, the heat fading. The relief was so sudden, so overwhelming, that she hugged him tightly, closing the space between them. But the man didn’t reciprocate. Instead, he gripped her shoulders firmly and pushed her back.
Just as he lost his hold on her, he heard a weak voice whisper his name:
"Alex..."
The man froze, shocked. He looked down at her face.
Ana blinked, slowly realizing she had clung to a stranger. The cooling presence in his touch had given her hope—but now, confused and frightened, she tried to pull away.
Then she saw his face.
"Alex..." she whispered again, rubbing her eyes in disbelief. But it was real. He was still holding her.
Before she could process it, Lopez grabbed her arm and yanked her back, slapping her so hard she fell to the floor.
"You b****! How dare you call that bastard's name again and again?" he shouted.
His expression twisted with rage. "Is he your boyfriend?" he sneered, then laughed darkly.
"Hah! No one will save you. Not your family, not your precious Alex. They’ve all abandoned you."
He leaned in, a voice full of cruelty.
"After we post your little s** video tomorrow, you’ll be famous."
Ana’s face turned pale. Tears streamed from her eyes. She wanted to beg for it to stop, but she had no strength.
Lopez continued, "Come now, b****. Let me teach you how to pleasure a man—without kicking him."
He grabbed her by the hair and began to drag her again.
But then, the man in the room moved. He caught Lopez’s hand.
Lopez, still assuming the man was on his side, snapped, "I’ll handle her myself. Don’t interrupt me until morning. Leave now."
The man didn’t move. Instead, he tightened his grip on Lopez’s wrist. Pain shot through Lopez’s arm, and his face changed instantly.
"You grabbed her with this hand, right?" the man said coldly.
"tsk...tsk..." *c***k*
Lopez screamed as his wrist was broken.
Before he could react further, the man landed a heavy kick into his stomach, knocking him to his knees.
Meanwhile, chaos erupted across the villa. Two sides clashed—Lopez’s men and a new group dressed all in black, uniformed and organized.
Hearing Lopez’s screams, Wilson, Richard, and others rushed to his room—but it was too late. He was already kneeling in front of the intruder, whose presence was more terrifying than even Lopez’s.
Wilson ordered his men to attack. But within seconds, all were on the floor, groaning with broken bones.
Richard stepped forward to fight—but the moment the man’s first kick landed, he realized who he was dealing with. He too hit the ground.
"Kill him!" Lopez shouted.
Wilson crept behind the man and kicked him from the back. The man stumbled a step, then turned around and delivered a crushing kick to Wilson’s ribs.
Wilson fell, groaning, "You... you’re the one from that day... who helped her..."
The man’s eyes burned with fury.
"You should’ve learned then not to mess with my people. But you didn’t."
He turned to the others and roared:
"Now I’ll show every single one of you what happens when you touch someone from **my territory**!"
His voice echoed with power.
"Alexander Black. **King** of this territory!"
He spoke like a king claiming his domain.
Just then, one of his men approached.
"Sir, please. Leave them to us. Take care of Ma’am," he said, pointing to the trembling Ana.
Alex turned and saw Ana, her body soaked in sweat, shaking uncontrollably.
Worried she might fear this violent side of him, Alex turned and punched the man hard, knocking out a tooth.
He rushed to Ana’s side.
"Don’t worry, Ana. I’m here," he said gently.
But Ana flinched away, her voice weak and frightened.
"Who are you? Don’t touch me… Please… don’t…"
She broke down. Her body ached, and she no longer knew what was happening around her.
Seeing her in that state shattered Alex inside.
"If I’d been even a minute later…"
"Why is she panicking like this?" he wondered aloud.
One of his men stepped forward.
"Sir, take her away from here. This place will only scare her more."
Alex removed his coat, gently wrapped it around her, and carried her bridal-style toward the car. In his arms, Ana finally began to calm.
She clung to him, inhaling the familiar scent of his cologne—the one she loved. She snuggled against his chest, her panic fading as her body relaxed.
The driver opened the car door. Alex placed her gently inside.
As he turned to leave, Ana grabbed his wrist.
"Don’t go…"
"One minute, Ana. I’ll be right back. Then we’ll leave together," he promised softly. He closed the door and returned to his men.
A moment later, Alex got into the car and looked at her.
Ana had moved to the farthest seat, her head down, body trembling. Something had changed. She had calmed up earlier, but now she seemed worse.
After Alex left, Ana began to feel her body burning again. A fiery heat surged through her, as though her body might explode from the intensity. To keep control, she gripped the car seat so hard that her nails dug into the leather.
Suddenly, she heard a voice calling her name.
She slowly lifted her head and saw a familiar face.
"Alex..." she whispered.
He stepped toward her, but she backed away in fear.
"No... you're not Alex. Please, leave me," she cried out, panicking in her voice.
When Alex reached out to hold her, she pushed him away and tried to open the car door. But Alex quickly caught her and locked the doors.
The moment his skin touched hers—and she inhaled his familiar scent—she realized it was truly him. Without thinking, Ana threw herself into his lap and hugged him tightly. Alex wrapped his arms around her waist to keep her from falling.
Silently, he raised the black privacy shield between the front and back seats.
Concerned, Alex immediately called his private doctor.
“I’m bringing her to our hospital. Get everything ready,” he said urgently.
The doctor’s voice trembled on the other end.
“Mr. King... I believe she’s been drugged with a strong aphrodisiac,” he said hesitantly. “The symptoms you’re describing—intense body heat, disoriented desire—match that kind of substance. It’s used to force arousal.”
Alex clenched his jaw. His eyes darkened with fury.
If Ana weren’t here beside him, the people responsible would already be in hell.
“What medicine does she need? I’m taking her to the hospital now—be ready.”
The doctor hesitated again.
“Sir... if it takes too long... I fear she may not be able to endure it,” he warned.
Without another word, Alex hung up and barked an order to the driver.
“Take us to the nearest hotel. Now.”
He turned to Ana and looked at her face—still marked with a red handprint. Her skin was pale, her body weak. Rage surged inside him as he asked in a low, cold voice .
“Ana… why are you here? Who brought you? Who were you with?”
Hearing his cold tone, Ana snapped back into reality. The memories of how she was kidn*pped flooded her mind. Tears welled in her eyes.
And then—**slap**.
Alex froze, stunned.
"She slapped him?"
His eyes turned red, burning with disbelief.
*I saved her... and she slapped me?*
When Ana saw the change in his face, the tears she had been holding back finally fell.
“It’s because of you…” she whispered, pointing at him.
Alex was shocked.
“Me…?” he repeated.
“Yes! This happened because of you!” she sobbed through hiccups.
“If you hadn’t told him to meet me the next day, he wouldn’t have come after me!”
Alex’s brows furrowed.
“Who?” he asked.
“Stephen!” she cried. “Don’t you remember? He came to me and asked me to spy on your company. I said no… and then he insulted me. I slapped him.”
