“Dad, what are you talking about?!” Clare nudged Matthew, “We still have it in our hands. And we can talk about it later.” Matthew was convinced, couldn’t help but shake his head and nod afterward. “Hey!” The representative of the Edmonton Company was sitting beside them. He was an oily young man, staring at Matthew with a smile... Oh, no, he was looking at Clare and Natalie to be exact. “Beauties, you are so pretty. May I make friends with you?” “Why?!” Natalie pouted her mouth. “Come on, making friends, alright?” The man smiled frivolously, glancing up and down at both of their curvaceous figures. “We are working in the same industry, which means making friends might be helpful for our businesses as well!” Clare and Natalie got goosebumps all over, “Don’t bother! We don’t want or need it!” “Come on, beauties, don’t refuse me so quickly!” The man smiled, “You didn’t talk much during the whole meeting. Is your boss holding something back?” “Boss? We are sisters, and he is our dad! We are from Greengrass Environmental Protection Company! You got a problem with that?” Natalie refuted him with a cold face. “Sorry I didn’t recognize you as a family. My bad.” The man then smiled at Matthew who kept sitting there silently, “Hello, boss father!” “Hello,” Matthew replied politely. “Boss father, may I invite your daughters to have a meal and join me to play in the evening?” “Huh?” The three of them, especially Clare, were taken aback. Clare frowned. “Why? I believe we are not familiar with each other.” “That’s too early to say! Playing together would soon get us familiar!” The man looked at Clare with a wretched look. “Just take it as you being a nice host and accompany me! Well, that won’t be in vain though. I’ll smooth things over for you later when President Elliot arrives!” “What?” The three of them almost laughed out of anger to see the man being ridiculous. What bullshit was he talking about? “Are you kidding me? You think we need your help on this?” Clare asked indifferently. “Don’t be so rigid when doing business. We all know the reputation and strength of the Edmonton Company. And we are both majoring in researching agents. If my company had helped you a bit with this, you wouldn’t have embarrassed yourself like this.” “Don’t bother! And thanks to your ‘kindness’!” Matthew refuted him coldly, “First, we don’t need your help; second, I won’t sacrifice my daughters for the company. You mean nothing in my eyes!” “Wow, bravo, man! Alright, I’ll see how you gonna reverse your situation after President Elliot arrives. Without my speaking for you, you will definitely become the last one among all!” Unexpectedly, as soon as he said so, a cold and domineering voice rang behind them. “Maybe the last in your mouth will win the project! And maybe your piece of s**t will have to suck yourself by then.” “Huh?! Who’s talking?!” The man turned around angrily but was stunned to see a tall and handsome young man. “Who are you!! And whom are you talking about?!” “Vincent?” The three of the Quincy family looked back. Clare hurriedly stood up, “You are okay?!” “Of course. You were worried about me?” Vincent grinned and wanted to hold Clare’s little hand. But on second thought, he gave up the idea. “I... I wasn’t...” Clare flushed, and then sat down awkwardly. “Huh~!” Natalie glanced at Vincent. “Hey! I’m talking to you! Who the hell are you?! Did you insult me just now?!” The man glared at Vincent in a rage. “I’m the husband of this beautiful woman, the son-in-law of the boss, and the brother-in-law of this beauty. As for who I was talking about,” Vincent smiled, “well, whoever wants to take the title is exactly who I was talking about!” “Uhhh.” Natalie shivered all over and didn’t get time to refute Vincent’s words. “You! Damn you!” The man got up and was about to lose his temper. But a calmer and more dominating voice sounded, “What’s with all the noise? Which company are you from? Either sit down or get out!!” Everyone present was shocked to hear the voice, so they looked back and saw a middle-aged man who looked powerful and had his hair slicked back. Behind him was an old man in a Tang suit. They entered the room unhurriedly. It was also the old man who shouted just now! They were Thorne Elliot and Mr. Grey. “President Elliot!!” The long meeting table in the conference hall was surrounded by the representatives of various manufacturers on one side and the managers of Elliot Industrial Group on the other side. Seeing Thorne here, the managers all hurried to greet him. The representatives were also shocked and hurriedly stood up to greet them. The man from the Edmonton Company also stood up in shame. Mr. Grey glared at the man again and then walked forward silently. Thorne beckoned all the present to get seated seriously. Vincent sat beside Clare, his big hand gently squeezing the latter’s small hand under the table. “What are you doing?!” Clare groaned in a soft voice, withdrawing her hand and glaring at Vincent, “Haven’t you been beaten yet? Now you even got the gut to mess with me!” “I have. actually. The man hit me on the shoulder with a rod.” Vincent pulled his collar secretly. There was a swelling mark inside, red and purple on his tanned muscle. Clare’s face turned red when she saw it, “Oh, are you okay?” “It’s alright.” Vincent smiled, “Say it again that you don’t care about me?!” Clare’s face flushed again. Before she could say anything more, Matthew and Natalie looked at Vincent, “Where is the stuff?!” Vincent thumbed up to ease their minds and didn’t tell them about the details. Then he pointed to the brocade box in Matthew’s arms, asking silently why they hadn’t sent it to the president yet. “Alas...” Matthew shook his head and sighed. Vincent then nudged Clare again and pointed at the representative of the Edmonton Company, “Did he bully the two of you just now?” “Uh-huh!” Clare nodded. Natalie also answered with a cold face, “He even coerced my sister and me to accompany him with the project.” “What the f**k?! He’s so arrogant?!” “Huh!” The representative of the Edmonton Company sneered. Vincent glared at him, “Good for you, man! Just wait.” “Huh?! Damn you!” The representative was going crazy again. Vincent raised his hand before Thorne and Mr. Grey could continue the meeting. “What’s the problem, young man?” Mr. Grey smiled slyly. They had agreed to pretend not to know each other for the time being. “Boss! This, he... the man molests me! I refused him but he scolded me back. He isn’t willing to get his hand off me! Will you give me an explanation about this? Is this meeting about dealing with dirty water or dirty people?!” Vincent pointed to the representative of the Edmonton Company and asked.
