“You’ll what?” Vincent smiled. “Humph, why should I tell you about that? Asshole!” Natalie stared at him. “Natalie, watch your manners,” Matthew frowned and said to her, while the latter grunted and then went back to the inside. Matthew grinned at Vincent and shook his head, “I’m sorry. She’s spoiled.” “It’s okay, as a beautiful and charming lady, it’s normal for her to be a bit arrogant.” Vincent nodded. Matthew chuckled and looked up and down at Vincent. He didn’t quite believe that Vincent was a doctor, so he asked tentatively, “Young man, how do you know about my daughter’s disease?” “Oh, it’s... Chairman Martin told me that and he gave me your business card. Let me see, eh, I got this as well...” Vincent said softly, and then showed him the small advertisement paper. “Uh! Well...” Matthew flushed, hurriedly withdrew the paper from Vincent’s hand, and stacked it into his pocket. Seeing Vincent in confusion, he smiled awkwardly, “It’s my litter daughter. It’s her idea to print these papers and advertisements.” Matthew paused, then looked at Vincent again and said, “But... Chairman Martin had mentioned a man called Vincent... wouldn’t it be you?!” “Yeah, it’s me indeed!” Vincent held his hands in front and was relieved inside. Until now, he finally confirmed that the advertisement was true. “Oh~~! That’s good to hear! If so, let’s get inside. Please, come in!” His gaze and tone of voice showed he still couldn’t believe this. Turning sideways, he showed Vincent the way inside. At the same time, however, he murmured secretly, “Is Chairman Martin right about him? Is he reliable? Such a young man?” Vincent heard him when passing by, but he didn’t care and stepped into the villa. Upon entering the room, he saw a reception hall. There was a smell of Chinese herbal medicine in the air, which must be used by someone in the family for treating diseases and maintaining health. The fine lighting brightened the hall. Vincent could see a few people sitting on the leather sofa. The person on the left was a middle-aged doctor in a white coat. He wore glasses, looking like a chief physician and expert, but his expression was a bit frustrated. The one on the right was also a middle-aged man, dressed in Tang suit-like costumes. He had a goatee, holding a cloth bag in hand and having an arrogant expression as if he was omnipotent. Further to the left was a young man who looked a little frivolous, well-dressed, but his mean face made people uncomfortable somehow. In the middle was an old man with grey hair, still tall and burly. He was aged though, bowed in the shoulders, and seemed haggard. The last one was a middle-aged beautiful woman, wearing a cheongsam, seeming quite mature and charming. She sat aside and wiped tears. Natalie was now sitting next to the beautiful woman and patted her comfortingly. They might be a mother and daughter, sharing a slight similarity between their faces. A few servants stood on the sidelines and waited. Matthew led Vincent in, which drew everyone’s attention to look back. The girl spoke first, “Dad~! Why do you let him in?! He is a liar and rascal! How could he be a doctor~?!” “Stop it! Your uncle, Chairman Martin, introduced him here.” Matthew frowned and said. The rest remained silent. Chairman Martin might not be known by some of them. The frivolous young man sneered at this time, “Huh, another toad wants to eat swan meat! I see anyone wants to come here to have a try!” “Matthew, this is...” The aged man sitting in the middle looked at Vincent. “Yes, father! This is Vincent.” Matthew nodded. It turned out that the aged man was Matthew’s father, the girl’s grandfather, but Vincent didn’t know his name yet. “Oh, I see...” The old man nodded and looked at the girl with a haggard look. “Natalie, as a host, you should treat our guests nicely. Watch your manners.” Natalie pouted her mouth and nodded, “Yes, Grandpa. I’m just worried that he would be another liar who might bring us fake hope and make you perturbed.” The old man shook his head. “We have to let him try even if he is a liar. Let alone Chairman Martin introduced him here, even if he is just a young and not capable man, he’s at least not a liar.” Vincent was speechless. The old man had seen him through, hadn’t he?! “Lad, get seated first! You may not be informed of the situation! Let me tell you!” The old man pressed towards Vincent’s hand. Vincent nodded and sat on the chair beside him, which was a little bit away from the guest sofa. He seemed more like an outsider. The old man sighed and looked at the white-coated doctor on the left, “How is she?!” The doctor shook his head and bowed apologetically, “I’m sorry, Senior Mr. Quincy! I did my best but I’ve never seen a disease like that of your granddaughter. General pain relief pills and calming methods don’t work on her at all. I don’t know what’s going on.” “Alas...” The old man shook his head, “It’s not your fault! And it’s not my first time to hear that, either. But you are the chief physician of a big hospital, if your hands are tied on this, I’m afraid no one could save my granddaughter.” “To be honest, Senior Mr. Quincy. I didn’t believe it when the dean told me about your granddaughter’s situation. But after seeing it today, I can do nothing to help! Please forgive me. I should get going.” The doctor said so and then was about to stand up and leave. “Hey! No rush!” Before Senior Mr. Quincy said anything, the goatee man grinned and pressed his hand at the doctor. The latter didn’t get it. “What do you mean?!” “Haha! Nothing special!” The goatee man looked at Senior Mr. Quincy and then at Matthew. “One thing to be confirmed. Are you serious… about recruiting a son-in-law?” “Uh!” Senior Mr. Quincy and Matthew were taken aback, and the latter nodded hurriedly in embarrassment. “Yes, doctor, it’s true! But...” “But what?” The goatee man who was called a doctor took out a piece of paper and shook it in front of them. It was the advertisement indeed. Upon seeing it, Natalie blushed while her father glared at her. “Well, let me explain it to you, doctor.” Senior Mr. Quincy smiled embarrassedly. Vincent was also speechless. The goatee man was also a doctor? Wasn’t he disrespectful to treat the girl because of the advertisement? Was he aware of how old he was? He was doing this to benefit from a family’s fall! Vincent was still thinking wildly. At this time, a sudden scream sounded!!
