After the meeting I wanted to meet with Lucy. The atmosphere around her was completely off. Even more so then when I had first met her. Today it was like there was just emptiness in the room. And the way that her mates were looking at her had me even more concerned. Something was off and I needed to get to the bottom of this before Lucy took off and was unable to fix what was obviously broken.
“Lucy, are you alright?” I asked her, and within seconds she was collapsing. I quickly stepped forward and wrapped her up as we both fell to the floor. She sobbed into my shoulder.
