Several hours before
After marking Lucy I was elated but at the same fearful that I had upset her. I knew that she would be in a slumber for at least a few hours. This would give me plenty of time to prepare Levi and myself to fully claim our mate. She needed to know that Levi and I had already fallen in love with her. There was no question about it. Her strength, her loyalty. She was petrified of us yet to help us and ensure that we took care of ourselves she moved into our place. It was no secret that we had been going from patrols to securing her. Since she was unmated and marked it took a toll on us. We had to always feel her so, we would camp out by her place and ensure she was safe. Both Levi and I had grown exhausted.
