Chapter 39 Honeymoon

I took in a deep breath and with a heavy heart I answered.
"Yes, I do."
A smile broke onto Daniel's lips and I looked away.
"With the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife."
I didn't move. Daniel was the one who moved closer.
He lowered his lips to mine but I angled and he kissed my cheeks.
"Why are you acting this way?" Daniel asked after he had pecked my cheeks.
I said nothing and smiled to the crowd and the cameras present. Daniel dropped the case and we greeted the guests.
I met Daniel's father again.
"I wish both of you happiness. And you, son. Cherish her like an egg. A golden egg for that matter." His father joked and I smiled.
Daniel continued to introduce me to other dignitaries present and I would force out a smile.
