Chapter 53 Conversation

"Alyssa?" He called.
I took in a deep breath, closing my eyes for a second and opening them, hoping this was a dream. I was not prepared to see him right now and in front of my house was the last place I wanted to meet him.
"Daniel. I thought the trip was three days." I said, trying to sound unbothered and it worked.
I walked towards my door, hoping that I would get inside and escape him without him having to answer but he did.
"I came to see you, Alyssa. Can we talk?" He asked and I stopped and turned.
I swallowed a big lump in my throat trying to keep myself together. I don't know what I will do if he was to tell me what happened.
