I came out of the washroom the next morning and saw Alyssa busily packing her things.
"Where are you going, Alyssa?"
"I'm going to my brother's place to take care of the kids."
"I heard Nick has moved there. You'll be seeing him again." I muttered, waiting for her reaction but she only shrugged.
I know I already brought that up yesterday but I couldn't overlook that.
"That's good. I've not seen him in a while."
"You're glad to see him?"
"Of course. We departed on a very bad note so at least I can see him and clear things."
