CHAPTER TWO
“This suit fits so perfectly” Blade chuckled, checking himself out.
“It looks so weird to me, I’ve never worn a suit in my life” Bullet said, looking at the other gang members as they were all dressed in black suit and tie with white shirt including the females also.
“I wonder why godfather wants us all to be in suit. I feel so uncomfortable!” Minaj scoffed aloud, obviously unhappy about the whole drama. Last night was filled with ecstasy, she just can’t get enough of him and can’t imagine another woman taking over.
“I’m loving the look anyway, makes me look like a tomboy” Echo said, facing Cassidy as she side-eyed Minaj to piss her off. Those two are always on each other’s neck.
Then Edward came out of his apartment after his father had sent for him countless times. He walked to his car with a furious face while Ace walked behind him, holding the suit he chose for Edward.
‘I’m not putting on any damn suit’ he said as he faced Ace before entering his car and the driver drove out of the clan.
The gang members quickly got into their respective cars in groups and they filed out of the clan’s gate, making their way for the wedding.
*****
Mrs Wilson sat on the floor crying profusely while Mr Wilson kept pacing the living room with a worried look, he kept dialing Kurtney’s number, but it was switched off already. They had searched the whole house and found out that Kurtney had jumped out of the window at night using a long rope. She dropped a note stating she had gone to be with the guy she loves and they shouldn’t look for her.
“Mum, calm down, I’m sure Kurtney is fine wherever she is” Scarlett said, trying to pacify her mother.
Mr Wilson continued walking around the room, his fingers passing through his hair from time to time with great fear in his heart. The front door was kicked open with full force, revealing Nicholas Stone standing mightily with a fierce look on his face that could swallow a man, sending a shiver down their spines.
Mr Wilson went down on his knees immediately.
“Where is the bride?!” Sir Stone asked first with a raging voice.
“Sir Stone please” Mrs Wilson begged, rubbing her two hands pleadingly, while Scarlett still tried to calm her mother with a blank look on her face.
“Who is this man?” She asked inwardly.
“Did you by chance try to hide her? Oh, you think you can trick me! I will destroy you, your family and your company!” Sir Stone raged out, pointing his finger at them.
“No sir, we didn’t hide her, we can’t do that to you” Mr Wilson defended in a pleading tone, shaking his head repeatedly.
“This marriage must be held today! If the bride is not here, then she better replace her now!” Sir Stone said authoritatively, referring to Scarlett, who was looking innocently before storming out of the house.
Scarlett gasped after she processed what she had just heard.
“Mum, what’s he talking about? Is he referring to me?” She asked her mother, raising her brows.
“Scarlett, please you have to help our family…..” Mr Wilson pleaded.
“Help what?!” Scarlett cut him off.
“I can’t marry now! I’m just 20. I’m still a student.” I have my dreams, I have great ambitions and I don’t even know this guy? I want to marry whom I will love when I’m ready! Mom, say something’ Scarlett cried out, tears rolling down her eyes.
“My daughter please….” Mrs Wilson started, and the door opened immediately. Two well- built men stepped in, with black suits and shades.
“The boss asked us to come with the bride right now” one of the men said with no smiling face.
“Mom! Dad!” Scarlett cried, hoping they would say something to save her but none of them could say anything.
“Fine!” She said suddenly and went into her room furiously.
This whole thing still looked like a dream to her.
“Damn you! Kurtney for disappearing” she cried out as she scattered everything on her dressing table.
She looked down from her room window to check if there is any escape route only to find Stone’s men surrounding the house. Hot tears fell from her eyes and she became despair. She decided to accept her fate as she walked to her closet and put on a simple pink flair gown. She tried to console herself, knowing her parents had always given out their best for her and Kurtney from their childhood. She walked out of her room and followed the guards out of the house, going with them in the car they brought.

The gang members were mostly the wedding guests, including a few noble people and business partners; everyone was seated. Scarlett could sight her parents in the front row as she stood in front of the priest, her mother was not looking happy at all. Edward walked in finally to meet the bride and the priest as they were already waiting for him.
This happens to be the weirdest wedding ever, especially in dressing terms. Edward had stood on his word and refused to put on any suit. He wore his hoodie and long trousers. Similarly, Scarlett was also dressed casually. Also, there is no ring exchange.
“Be fast please” Edward muttered, without sparing Scarlett a glance.
“Do you, Scarlett Wilson, hereby take Edward Stone to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and cherish, in joy and sorrow, sickness and health till death do you apart?” The priest asked as he read out the vows.
Scarlett looked from the man before her standing impatiently, then to her parents and her father gave her a slight nod with a pleading look. She looked back at the man before her again. It’s her first time seeing him and even just hearing his name from the vows. She was trying all she could to control her tears. There was a total silence as everyone awaited her response.
