Arthur's POV
I wake up and Stephanie is not around. I say a silent thank you before putting on my clothes.
I exit her room before she can crawl out of whatever hole she's in and start being clingy again.
Last night was a mistake. I was supposed to be done with her for good but I found myself in her room least when I expected it.
I guess I just wanted some distraction after last night's incident. I wanted to forget and she was the best option at the time. I'm not going to let that happen again though.
I arrive at my room and move straight to the shower. After my bath I study my reflection in the mirror. My wounds are healing but one eye still remains swollen shut.
