Adele’s POV:
I was sleeping on my bed when I noticed a shadowed figure in the corner of the room. I immediately got up and got a closer look of it. It was my mother. She was standing there with disappointment on her face. I moved away from her because I didn’t want her to hit or abuse me for the sins I had done.
“You have sinned so much, Adele.” My mother's voice echoed. She walked back and forth around my room. The windows were opened and the cold air was striking inside the room.
