Melissa Feng, at 25 years old, had already read "The Retired Zacharias Sanchez" and "T'zu Hsi". I thought she deserved to live an adventure equivalent to Noa de Haro or Isabel Steller.

She wasn't. She was a young Hong Kong uniformed policewoman who had seen very little action in her career. Nothing important. Traffic tickets. Dealing with the occasional drunk and the occasional misguided tourist.

He was patrolling on his moped and received a request to go take notes at Kowlong Hospital for a confusing incident recorded by the security cameras in one of the wards.

The entire police force was overwhelmed by other events; and it was up to her to take notes, videos and then some superior would hand them over to the corresponding department.

She accepted the order and went to the hospital.

After a while, together with the security supervisor, she saw the first video.

A handsome nurse trainee was clearly in the process of courting a girl. Then another very handsome man also appeared. Another camera recorded the man lying on a gurney on one side of the hallway. The interns were checking him out. Then the man would take the loaded girl and they would jump into the void.

Another video with a different date showed the handsome nursing intern, a bearded man in old-fashioned clothes appeared. Then the old-fashioned dressed man was running, the nurse was chasing him. Another camera showed the man jumping into the void. Then a commotion in a room, the nurse and others attending to the emergency happening in the room.

Then another video showed a teenage girl with a school bag leaving the room where the emergency occurred, the young nurse trainee with a huge hiking backpack. Unexpectedly, the handsome nurse picked up the loaded girl. She struggled to run with all that weight and they jumped over the balcony.

Melissa watched the videos and couldn't help but be amazed.

-- Have there been other similar situations?

-- No. All the other videos just show the work routine," the supervisor reported.

-- What are these people's names?

-- The nurse trainee is named Thomas Zhao, the nurse trainee is named Kathy Hung, the teenager is a patient named Mei To. The two men have no admission record and appear directly in the ward.

Melissa adjusted her glasses and watched the videos again.... That was a case... A real case... Nothing to do with a p********e's fight over a client, nor a minor car crash while parking.

30 minutes later he passed his report online to the office. He took a video of the possible impact site. The security cameras in the exterior areas showed nothing! It was a case! She was the first authority to make it official; she could ask questions and stay on top of it.

-- Of course I'll keep an eye on it," she said to herself as she turned on her electric scooter to continue her activities.

He registered the names and got their addresses. Each was at one end of town.

Thomas Zhao had a driver's license, passport, lived in his father Ken Zhao's luxurious residence; coincidentally the residence with all his belongings had just been foreclosed and Ken Zhao for no reason had vanished via New York, he appeared to have no debts and the Securities and Exchange Commission had no alerts on him.

Kathy Hung's name appeared on the sale of some antique thing; then she had gone crazy buying what was and wasn't, rented an apartment .... and vanished, into the arms of the first stranger over the hospital balcony.

The teenager Mei To was the daughter of a 30-year-old pornographic actress, who was found dismembered the day before Mei To was admitted to the hospital. The girl was admitted as a r**e victim. They had no housing records. She was the girl who jumped off the balcony in the arms of the lover.

-- The girl whispered at ten o'clock at night, while she was having a hamburger dinner with some Mcrefugiados in a Macdonals near her residence...

She knew a detective would be assigned, overloaded with cases; if nothing else happened, it would be filed. She didn't have much to do. She could try in her spare time...it was little...but she could do it.....
