Shocked by someone suddenly walking in, I quickly sat up and moved to the arm rest, pulling my skirt down fast.
“Ten o’clock appointment is here.”
It took me a long seconds to realize that Ethan and I were still alone— the voice that startled us came from a speaker, not someone walking in.
Ethan was standing at the end of the couch, breathing hard, his face red. His ties loose and his pants.
I panicked, imagining what I must have looked like, and I stood up quickly, trying to fix my clothes.
“Here,” he said, walking over and trying to pull my skirt back into place.
I slapped his hand away, angry at myself.
“Stop. Just leave me alone.”
“Stay still, Mia.” he muttered. Pulling my blouse straight and fixing my buttons. Then he gently pulled my skirt down and adjusted it like he had done it like a hundred times.
I fixed my hair. He grabbed his coat and put it in, fixing his tie. We both reached the door at the same time.
He held my chin, forcing me to look at him. “Hey,” he said softly. “Are you okay?”
I was filled with so much anger, my eyes burning. I had never done anything this foolish.
I pull my face away. “Do I look okay?”
“You look beautiful, and I’m going to have you. I’m going to make you c*m till you beg me to stop.”
The way he wanted me. It was scary, intense and honest, kind of turn-on. My hands were shaking as I grabbed my phone. I needed to get away from him.
“I’ll be done by five. I’ll come pick you up.”
That sounds like an order and not a plea.
“No, you won’t. This doesn’t change anything. Don’t be so full of yourself, Ethan. I lost control for a minute, but it still doesn’t change the fact that I don’t want you.”
His hand tightened around the door handle. “Yes, you do. You are just hiding it.” He held my waist. “Five o’clock, Mia.”
I stared at him, my whole body full of anger. “I’m busy.”
“Okay, that’s fine. Tomorrow then.”
“I’m busy all weekend.”
He looked tense. “With whom?”
“That’s none of your …..”
He put his hand over my mouth. “Don’t just tell me. And before you say no, take a good look at me and ask yourself if I’m the kind of man who gives up easily.”
His face was dead serious, eyes sharp. A shiver ran through my whole body. I’m not sure if I can beat him in this.
After a deep breath, I waited for him to bring down his hand. “We both need a break. A few days to calm down,” I manage to say.
But he didn’t give up. “Weekend Mia”
I pulled the door open, rushed out and closed the door behind me.
“We’re going to happen, Mia. You will be mine.”
It sounded more like a threat than a promise.

It got back to my desk by eleven o’clock. Mr Philip walked up to me.
“Don’t worry about anything, Mia. I just got back from a meeting, so just relax,” he said.
Do I look tensed? Why is he asking me to relax?
“Thanks,” I managed to say, even though he said that I still felt guilty. My awesome Friday felt like a total waste of time.
We worked steadily until five o’clock. I avoided taking any breaks to make up for the time I spent in Ethan’s office.
I had just shut down my computer and grabbed my bag when the phone started ringing. I looked at the clock. It was some minutes past five. I thought about not answering since my workday was officially over.
I still felt bad about not working much today. I figured answering the call is still like making up.
“Hello Baby bear.” My mom says, I could tell she was smiling. “I called your phone earlier, but it wasn’t connecting, so I thought of calling your office.”
“Hi, Mama bear. How are you?”
“Oh, I’m doing fine darling, Thank you.” Her voice is soft and lovely.
I guess she can’t help it but still worries about me. She still thinks I’m not over Lucas.
“Is your boss treating you well?”
“Yes, he’s great. Everyone here is nice. I couldn’t ask for better.”
“Is he handsome?”
I smiled. “Yes, very. But I don’t think he’s interested in women.”
“The good ones are always difficult to get,” she says, laughing and my smile grew.
I know I lied, I guess, to stop her from being inquisitive.
“Have a lovely weekend,” she says, ending the call.
I went home feeling exhausted. I think the pleasure from Ethan really messed me up. What does he really want from me? Or maybe he is trying to play with my emotions. I thought to myself.
I rushed to get a shower. I could hear the bell ring. I wasn’t expecting anyone. Who could it be?
I quickly wrapped a towel around myself and hurried to see who was knocking. When I opened the door, I froze. To my complete surprise— It’s Ethan.
