Shadow and Light A few days had passed since the visit to the farm. Now that she was home again, Marisa did speak with her dad about the farm and her grandparents, but she didn't mention Jean. She still didn't know what to say. Neither did her dad. But for both of them, merely talking felt right. Gratitude to Teddy welled up inside Marisa for the way he had listened to her, and she decided to find time for them to talk. She felt less burdened now and ready to experience the depth of her emotions. Marisa made a point of finding her brother on the porch or in his room and talking.
