Colors After conferring with his mom and completing one last chore before dinner, Teddy headed off with his dad to the instrument room. In the far corner of the second floor was the telescope. Don couldn't remember the last time he had used this time-travel machine. Though Teddy was athletic and strong for an eleven-year-old, the telescope was not only heavy but too lopsided for him to carry. Don placed it over his shoulder and carefully maneuvered it down the stairs and out to the backyard and the open sky. Teddy studied every move his dad made, making sure he wouldn't forget how to carry this precious instrument. Don placed the telescope on the ground and began to level out the legs. Teddy looked into the eyepiece and shouted, "Hey, Dad, there's nothing there. I don't see anything."
