Eye of Time
Teddy woke unsure how to find those dancing colors, but the gray-white Moon still fascinated him. As the next day passed into darkness, he and his dad set up the telescope again. Teddy gazed at the Moon and realized he had never thought of this mystery hanging in the sky.
"Dad, why is the Moon in the sky?"
"We don't know for sure. It may be that the Moon passed by and Earth captured it. Or the Moon and Earth came into existence at the same time. Or Earth gave birth to the Moon. It'll take more study to determine what the answer is." Don found himself wanting to give Teddy an answer, but he had to admit how much he, too, did not know.
"Why don't we know?"
