Eye of Light Teddy woke to the aroma of his mom's cooking. What did he have to remember from last night? He recalled the conversation with his dad the night before, and putting away the telescope, but he couldn't remember getting into bed. He'd heard Henry meow from downstairs, and the opening and closing of the porch door. He saw Henry in his mind's eye, and the image filled his entire field of vision. For the briefest moment, he felt that all that existed was Henry. His mom called out from the kitchen, "Teddy, are you and Tem going fishing today? His mom called last night. You didn't tell me you were going fishing." Teddy's trance was broken. He set aside his memories of what had happened last night and ran down the stairs. "Yeah, I forgot to tell you, Mom.
