“Get out!” he shouted.
At that moment, she was overwhelmed by fear. It was so primitive, so profound that it would motivate anybody to run away.
The Master knocked on the tinted window separating them from the driver, and it went down immediately. He gave his commands, and they turned into the nearest taxi station soon after. The driver got out, walked around the car, and opened Sidney’s door. By that time, the Master had regained control of himself.
“You go back to the hotel by taxi and fly to Los Angeles tomorrow. You’ll have very important tasks waiting for you,” he said.
Sidney backed out of the car with faltering steps and leaned forward. After the shock, she composed herself again.
