Chapter Fifteen The QueenNorthern Vermont June 10, 1926 It took the convoy a little over five hours to drive the 126 miles from Whitehall to Richford. Although Kelly could have driven that route much faster in the Packard, he was constrained by the top speed of the slowest truck in the convoy: twenty-five miles per hour. Kelly instructed his men to camp outside Richford while Costello and Moyer accompanied him in the Packard.
