Alex arrived home with his laptop and a load of guilt. This sudden deluge of Elena’s prolonged nightmare about an event that happened ten years ago unnerved him. His image of her reflection in the mirror with a g*n to her head freaked him out. He’d never had an out-of-body experience in his life, but someone had been trying to convey something to him. Was Elena so troubled she’d contemplate suicide? He didn’t think she would ever do such a thing—he thought her too strong for that, but his dream showed otherwise. He didn’t know what to think.
