Chapter 15 – Slap in the Face
Back at the academy Eva tries to enter the townhouse quietly, but she knocks down a small table and a glass left on top of it shatters on the floor. Jana’s light goes on and she appears in her door. Even in her state, Eva can see that Jana has been crying. ‘What’s wrong?’
Jana clears the larger pieces of glass from the floor before she sweeps the floor to get rid of any small pieces of glass. ‘I am ok, just had a bad dream. Let’s get you to bed.’
Jana helps Eva to her own bed and watches her friend for a while after she falls asleep. She has seen her mother last night and her emotions are all over the place. Deep down she still loves her mother, but this is all a bit too much for her to handle at the moment. She told her mother that she needs time to think
