Chapter 3 – The Death of a Mother

Megan Hajnal is a beautiful woman who turns the heads of both men and woman. She is intelligent and hard working and is climbing the corporate ladder fast. She is thirty-three and has a very busy eleven year old daughter, Eva who is doing well at school and also at various sports events she participates in. Megan’s sister is her best friend and they do everything together. Eva also loves her aunt and she is like a second mother to her. Megan tells everybody that she won Eva in a wrestling tournament. This is kind of true as she and her sister went on a s*x tour when she was twenty-one and her sister nineteen. They both entered an oil wrestling tournament for the right to have first choice of a lover for the week they were on Apollo. She had her eye on a tall guy with a magic smile and she knew that many of the women, including her sister, were interested in him as well. She fought hard and managed to beat woman after woman until she reached the final of the tournament. Her opponent in the final was her sister. They often wrestled each other and their matches were always hard fought and close. Both sisters were exhausted from their previous fights and their match started slowly as they were feeling each other out, trying to ensure that they did not run out of energy too soon. The final was a one round wrestling match to pin or submission and both knew that it may take a while to pin or submit each other with their thong bikini clad bodies covered in oil. The intensity picked up as their holds, pushes and grabs started to hurt each other. Megan’s sister has always been a dirty little b***h during their fights and she ripped Megan’s top off and mauled her breast. This was against the rules, but nobody was going to interfere as the fight was picking up speed and this sparked something between the sisters. Megan screamed out in pain and she tore into her sister. The oil wrestling match soon included slaps, punches and plenty of clawing, hair pulling and mauling. When Megan eventually trapped her sister’s head between her thighs for a head scissor hold combined with hair pulling, her sister had to submit. They glared at each other for a while, but could not stay mad at each other and they soon got up and hugged it out. Megan won her price with a lot of blood, sweat and tears and she made full use of him. They spend the week pretty much making love the whole time and the result was Eva.

Megan’s life is pretty good and it is about to get better. The vice-president of the company she works for called her in yesterday and informed her that she got the job as new branch manager. The two of them had a few flings in the past and they went out celebrating last night and Megan ended up making love to the vice-president until the early morning hours. She is tired from the lack of sleep and their marathon lovemaking session, but she is filled with euphoria, partly from the joys of s*x and partly because the announcement of her promotion will be made to the rest of the employees in a few minutes. They are all gathered in the large meeting room and the vice-president is talking about the positive growth of the company and their recent successes with big contracts being won. When she announces Megan’s promotion, the rest of the employees applaud her for this achievement. However, Emily Theron jumps up and she does not look happy.

‘You know I deserve this promotion. I have been here longer than you and my results are better than yours. The only thing you do better than me is to sleep with the right people.’

There is a murmur in the meeting room and Megan is shocked. She has not anticipated this outburst and she does not know how to react. The vice-president starts to say something, but Emily talks over her.

‘I will not stand for this unfairness. I challenge you to a duel. I will kill you and I will get the promotion I deserve.’

Megan is put on the spot and she knows that she will lose face and a lot of respect if she does not accept the challenge. ‘I accept your challenge.’

For a few days she hears nothing further from Emily and she starts to think that Emily was just bluffing or that she has changed her mind, but then she receives a call from the television show ‘Duel’ to confirm whether she accepted the challenge. She almost puts down the phone, but her pride makes it almost impossible for her to back down from this challenge, so she confirms that she is willing to fight Emily in a duel. The woman from the show informs her that the fight will be in two weeks time. The first ten minutes will be an unarmed fight and after that each of them will receive their weapon of choice as well as the opponent’s weapon of choice. She is allowed to choose between three weapons and Megan chooses a baseball bat as she is not sure whether she will be able to use a knife or motorcycle chain effectively. Over the next two weeks she spends as much time as possible with Eva and her sister and she starts to prepare Eva for the possibility that she may not survive the fight. She is confident that she has a good chance of beating Emily as she is athletic and has wrestled a lot in her life. She even had a few catfights against her sister. Emily does not participate in any sport and Megan is sure that she has never been in any fights in her life, but in a fight to the death anything can happen and she wants to make sure Eva is mentally prepared for the possibility that she may die during the fight. She knows that her sister would be a very good mother to Eva, should this be required and she knows that Eva will get over the initial shock and sadness of losing her mother and that her sister will ensure that she has a happy live and that opportunities will be made available to her.

Megan’s sister wants to go with her on the night of the fight, but Megan asks her to be with Eva and to ensure that Eva is fine should something happen to her. She is alone in her change room and has already stripped down to her thong as this is the maximum amount of clothing allowed on the show. She warms up and tries to focus her mind on the fight itself and not on the potential consequences of fighting in a death match. Megan takes a deep breath when she hears a knock on the door. She gets up and follows the assistant to the cage. She barely hears to loud applause as the studio audience first see her beautiful body appear on set. Her heart beats fast and her hands are moist with sweat. She waits as a woman unlocks the cage door and motions her to enter. She suddenly feels very alone and the reality of what she is about to do sets in and the focus on the fight suddenly makes way to a fear of death. She forces this from her mind and starts to go through her game plan again. She will stay on her feet for a while to gage Emily’s skills and to try and hurt her as much as possible with punches and kicks. When she feels that Emily is weak enough, she will take her down and choke her to death. She does not want to take a chance with the weapons, so she wants to either kill Emily before the ten minute mark or be in total control of Emily at this stage to ensure that weapons do not come into play. Her attention is brought back to the present when she hears the host talk again.

‘Ladies and gentlemen there is a slight change in plans. We just received word that Emily Theron has fallen ill and cannot fight Megan Hajnal tonight. However, her best friend has agreed to fight in her place to ensure that this grudge is settled and that you still get a fight tonight.’

Megan cannot believe this and her first reaction is to leave the cage, but the crowd is chanting ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’ When the host asks her whether she accepts the new challenge, the word ‘Yes’ escapes her lips before she is able to stop it. Her pride has gotten the best of her. The studio audience erupts at this and Megan knows that there is no way to change her mind now. Her new opponent is announced and when the cage door is locked and the women face each other alone in the cage, Megan sees the scars of previous battles on the woman’s face and upper body. The woman is about her size, but she is more muscular and looks a lot tougher than Megan. Megan fights the urge to run away and readies herself for the fight. When the bell is rung the woman moves in quickly and corners Megan, rocking her head back with a stiff left jab, followed by a straight right. Megan swings back wildly, but the woman avoids her punches and rocks her again with a left right combination. The fight has just begun and Megan’s nose is already bleeding. She tries to get out of the corner, but her opponent catches her with another hard right to the side of her jaw and Megan stumbles to the ground. She regains her senses quickly and kicks out as the woman rushes in, connecting with her left thigh. The woman steps back and allows Megan space to get up. However, as she starts getting to her feet, the woman steps in and lands a hard kick to Megan’s side and follows it up with another hard punch to the side of her jaw and Megan goes down again. This time the woman is quick enough to dive on top of her before she has time to defend herself. Megan is trapped under her opponent’s weight and from full mount, the woman rains down punches and elbows to her face. Megan tries to stop the punches by blocking with her arms, but she is unable to block all of them and some hard strikes connect with her head and face. Blood is soon streaming down her face and she can barely see the punches coming her way anymore. Then, to Megan’s surprise, the woman stops punching her and instead tries to roll her over. Megan wraps her arms around the woman’s upper body and pulls herself up so that her face is pressed against the woman’s breasts. This move was meant to get her head away from more punishment and to stop her opponent from turning her onto her stomach, but she makes use of the opportunity and bites down hard on the woman’s left breast. The woman screams and immediately retaliates by pushing her left thumb into Megan’s right eye. Megan is shocked by this and releases the grip with her teeth on her opponent’s breast and turns her head away. The woman is furious with the wounds on her breast and grabs Megan’s shoulders and slams her upper body back onto the floor. Megan’s head hits the floor hard and she loses consciousness for a few seconds. When she regains consciousness, the woman is choking her from behind. Megan grabs at her arms and tries to pull them away from her throat, but she is unable to pry the women's fingers away from her throat. In a frantic attempt to break the hold, Megan scratches the woman’s arms and hands. She hears the woman cursing at her for this, but she does not release her hold. Soon Megan’s arms start to feel heavy and they drop to the floor. Before her world goes completely dark, she suddenly feels very calm and she can see her daughter’s face clearly in her mind before everything is gone.
